So he who would get into Paradise would get in the form of Adam, his length being sixty cubits, then the people who followed him continued to diminish in size up to this day. - Sahih Muslim 2841

He lived in the Jannah for almost 100 years, according to the book of Qisas al-anbiya.

The name of him is mentioned 25 times in the Holy Quran.

How many Children of Prophet Adam علیہ السلام?

He had 240 children in total.

Famous Children

• Qabil was the first son, he was born when Adam was 64 years old.
• Habil was born when he was 77 years old.
• Prophet Sheeth علیہ السلام was born when he was 130 years old.

First daughter

• Qalima was the first daughter of him born with Qabil.

Last Children

• Ummul Mughees and Abdul Mughees were the last children of him and they were twins.

Where is Prophet Adam علیہ السلام Grave?

It is important to remember that neither in Holy Quran nor in Hadith clarifies the exact location of the Prophet Adam علیہ السلام Grave.

However, annalists believe that the grave of him is at one of the following 3 countries which I’m going to mention below.

There is also one more assumption that after the death of him within a few hundred years the serious Flood occurred in which only Prophet Noah’s علیہ السلام ship survived, may be the flood have destroyed the grave.

The First Location – Makkah, Saudi Arabia

Muslims believe that Prophet Adam علیہ السلام may have buried in Saudi Arabia, Makkah.

In Tabari believes, he had his last breath at the foot of the mountain in that way he was buried there.

Omar Mahmood writes in his book that the grave of him is near Jabal Abu Qubais in Makkah, Saudia Arabia.

It is also supported by the factuality that the grave of Hazrat Hawa علیہ السلام is also located in Jeddah.

The distance between Mount Abu Qubais, the burial place of him, and the grave of Hawwa علیہ السلام is only 70km.

The Second Location – Sri Lanka

Some people believes that the grave of Prophet Adam علیہ السلام is at Sri Lanka, is it true?

Let’s talk about this.

People frequently believe that the grave of him is in Sri Lanka because the first footprint of him can be found in Sri Lanka on Adam’s peak.

Although, this is not supported by any legalize declare or genuine information.

In addition, there is no clue about the grave that where it is actually located if there is one.

The Third Location – Wadi Us-Salam Iraq, Najaf

Wadi Us-Salam is the biggest cemetery globally with 1500 acres where throughout 70,000 Prophets are buried.

It is located about 10 kilometres from Masjid Kufa as referred as under.

Shia Muslims believe that his grave is in Iraq, Najaf, Wadi Us-Salam by the side of Prophet Noah and Ali ibn Abi Talib ضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ.

Abu Bashir says that he asked Iman Sadiq ضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ where Ali ibn abi Talib R.A was buried?.

At the grave of his father Prophet Noah ضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ, he replied.

And again he asked where Prophet Noah علیہ السلام grave was? as people says it is in the Masjid of Kufa

Iman Sadiq رحمة الله عليه said: ”No it is located behind Kufa.” – Wasa’elul-Shia, pg. 386, Hadith 1943, Vol 14.
