Methods to Borrow Load in STC

STC provides its customers with the following methods to recharge emergency balance.

Automated Message Service for STC Loan Credit

STC provides an automated message service that helps you get an emergency balance when you’re low on credit.

Here’s how it works:

  • When your balance is running low, STC sends an SMS to your number from 808808.
  • If you receive this message, reply with ‘1’ to confirm.
  • STC will then credit your sim with 5 riyals.
  • You’ll receive a confirmation message once your account has been topped up.
  • To check your emergency balance, dial *166#.

Important points to note:

  • When you recharge your sim, Sawa will deduct 5 riyals as repayment for the credit loan
  • SAR 1 fee will be applied for this transaction upon your next recharge.
  • Make sure your credit is 0 to proceed with the STC emergency loan.
  • The automated message service is valid for 24 hours from the time of receiving the message.
  • You need to consume 5 riyals credit within 90 days, or it will expire.
  • This service is exclusively for prepaid customers.
  • In case of any problem, dial 900 and ask for help from Sawa support service.

Manual Borrowing of Sawa/STC Advance Balance/Loan

In case you didn’t receive the automated message, you can manually request an advance balance by following these steps:

  • Open your SMS messaging app.
  • Type ‘STC advance balance code 1’ in the message.
  • Send the message to 808808.

By sending the STC emergency balance code, you will receive an immediate recharge of 5 riyals, allowing you to make calls and send messages.

It’s important to note that Sawa prepaid customers are eligible for this service.
