To prevent odor buildup in the Bathroom, you should keep the bathroom well-ventilated. If the bathroom has windows, try to open them frequently or install ventilation devices to circulate the air, push the smell, moisture, and mold out, bring in fresh, airy, and pleasant air.

2. Keep towels clean and dry

An often overlooked cause of bathroom odor is dirty or damp towels. When towels do not dry quickly enough, they can start to have a sudden musty odor.

This is caused by bacteria and fungi that have a foul smell and grow rapidly. And if towels are not washed for a while, this can accelerate the growth of bacteria.

Hang your towels in a well-ventilated place to dry after each use and wash them at least once a week. (Including hand towels and face towels.) Use bleach or the hottest water possible to kill any bacteria that may find their way into the fabric.

One of the simplest and most effective methods is to clean the trash can with baking soda – this is seen as a useful household cleaning ingredient that families should have on hand.

In addition, you can simply drop a few drops of essential oil on a cotton ball and place those cotton balls at the bottom of the trash can.
