Below are some useful benefits of Eggshells that housewives should not miss.

Some long-used furniture in the house often loses its shine. You can use eggshells to enhance the shine of these items.

The simple way is to take clean eggshells and rinse them in water. You will get a mixture of protein and water. Take this mixture and wipe glassware or furniture in the house. They will become shinier.

2. Remove stains on tea and coffee cups
Cups that you use to drink tea or coffee daily often become yellowed after a while. Washing with regular water doesn’t make them shiny like they used to. Instead of buying new cups, you can use eggshells to clean them.

Put 12 eggshells in boiling water, then dry them and grind them into small pieces. Mix the Eggshell Powder with warm water and pour this mixture into the stained cup. After one night, pour out the water in the cup and you will see the stains fade or disappear completely.

3. Clean cooking oil when frying
After frying food, the cooking oil turns black. If you want to clean the oil, you can use a piece of eggshell placed in the pan. The eggshell will absorb carbon particles and clean the oil.

4. Clean glass pitchers, thermos, glassware, ceramics
Pitchers or glassware that have been used for a long time often have dirt and residue at the bottom. The small spout means we can’t put our hand in to wash. To clean the bottom of the pitcher, you can use eggshells.

Break the eggshells into pieces and place them in the pitcher along with a little water. Shake it back and forth with your hand, the dirt in the bottom of the pitcher will fall out, and the cleaning effect is even better than soap.

5. Whiten white clothes
White clothes often become discolored after some time. You can take small pieces of eggshells and put them in a thin fabric bag, then put it in a basin of hot water for about 5 minutes. Put the white clothes in this water, and they will become bright white.

6. Sprout plants
Clean and rinse the eggshells, and punch a hole in the bottom to drain the water to avoid water logging the roots of the plant. Then, add a little soil and plant seeds. When the seedlings are big enough to be planted outdoors, gently remove the eggshell.

7. Smooth and glowing skin
Eggshell powder helps exfoliate dead skin cells while helping to regenerate new cells, making the skin bright, smooth, and even-toned. There is no better skin care mask than what you thought of throwing away. Crush one or two eggshells finely, mix them with a whipped egg white, and you will have an ideal skin care mixture.

8. Trap pests that damage plants
Crush the eggshells and sprinkle them around the roots of the plants or poke holes in the base of the plant and sprinkle ground eggshells. At this time, the eggshell powder not only acts as a fertilizer but can also repel pests, including snails and harmful insects. Soft-bodied creatures don’t like crawling on the sharp edges of the eggshells or smelling the “unpleasant” odor.
