Life; Like A Rollercoaster Ride (Chapter 3)

A/N

Welcome back everyone!

So I won’t make this long, I just need a suggestion!

In the first chapter, I used the car SUV. And I did it in kind of a hurry so I didn’t think much about anything.

So which car should I change it to instead? The car which is picked most I guess will be chosen.

Ok, so that’s all I wanted to say.

I won’t make you guys wait any longer!

Here enjoy!

After a pretty disappointing breakfast, I took my laptop bag, and my house keys stole a quick glance at my mirror, tucked a loose strand of my black hair knowing it was going to come out again anyways, and strode out of the house.

I checked my phone. I still have 20 minutes. I can make it in time if I get on the bus on time, I said to myself carefully calculating the numbers in my head.

I wasn’t some maths genius but hey, my maths marks were decent,

So this was the least I could do with my knowledge.

I reached outside the office building, looking nothing like I had left my house.

Guess what?

Firstly, Nope.

I did not get on the bus in time, I tried running after it but a car went speeding by me, splashing muddy water all over my clothes.

I came walking all the way, cause apparently, my stupid brain did not consider taking a few extra bucks from home for a taxi.

And turns out, tucking that extra strand of hair was absolutely useless, cause right now, my hair looked like it had survived a freaking war.

I entered the sliding glass doors, earning myself a disgusted stare from one of the security guards.

Hey, I understand I look like a mess, I’m probably stinking too but hey! I didn’t choose my morning to be like this.

With a sour mood, I swiped my attendance card at the reception, earning a curious stare from the neatly dressed blondie behind the table.

I grunted under my breath walking towards the elevator.

let’s just say, it’s going to take me a while to reach my Cubicle.

There was a huge crowd of anxious people waiting outside.

I took this opportunity to use the bathroom.

I almost screamed looking at my reflection.

Now those stares all make perfect sense.

I looked horrifying.

There’s no other way to describe it.

I cleaned off all the mess I could and cleaned all the mud off my hair.

Now I looked more like a human.

I stepped outside the bathroom, finally finding the elevator abandoned.

I stepped inside and reached my floor with no difficulties.

Hey, maybe this day wasn’t so bad after, all.

I sat in my cubicle, my legs were still killing me, so I took a few minutes to relax.

My cubicle was literally in the middle of the room.

As much as I wanted to do my best at my job, I hated socializing.

Very Much.

Yeah, and with your cubicle at the dead centre, you didn’t really have a choice.

Especially when your cubicle neighbour was the nosiest human being to ever exist on planet earth.

Emily!” I heard someone far away shout my name from behind me.

I turn seeing it was a colleague of mine, the one who had told me to make the report on such short notice.

Oh No! The report!

It’s literally lying on my bed, at home! How did it slip my mind!?

Hats off to my poor memory for being my enemy at the worst times possible!

This is the moment the love of my life sprints into the office, with the report in his hands, saving me from what problems await me.

But that only happens in movies.

I was given a 10-minute lecture by my colleague, which I had to hear as he was my senior,

and anothe 5-minute one from my boss for being ‘unprofessional’ and ‘clumsy’.

After a long miserable day at work, I left the office building with my shoulders slumped, my clothes a mess, and my hair looking like I had been electrocuted, and my energy level a zero.

All I wanted to do right now is jump into my warm bed and never leave it again.

When I was small, I thought Sleeping Beauty was unfortunate, but the more I age, the more I find sleeping beauty to be extremely lucky to be able to sleep so peacefully and get herself such a handsome prince.

Just as I was about to start walking home, I found a pair of warm blue eyes staring at me.

Ethan.

Thank you so so much for reading!

I hope you enjoyed reading it, it’s a great chapter but I wrote this in a hurry so yeah!
