To, My Old Self

To, My Old Self

I don’t understand why you died.

Leaving me alone in this cruel world.

What pain must have you felt, through the mask of faking that smile.

People know you as shy and an introvert, but I know you well.

They see you as a silent soul, but I know how much you observed.

But now you became, the one they want.

Being bold, an extrovert and many more things.

Now they say, that they miss my old side!

But I know the truth, that you are gone forever.

Sometimes I scream, I object, God!

I sit on the floor, taking time to reflect.

Trying to understand, but this can’t be real,

You have left, How will I deal with everything?

I want to be angry, you are gone, but I can’t.

Praying to God, I need help, But really, I just miss you.
