2023 TVS One Make Championship registrations open for women, rookies

Petronas TVS Racing has released details about the selection rounds for the women and rookie categories of the 2023 TVS One Make Championship. The championship runs as part of the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship.

Two selection rounds will be held in Bengaluru and Pune, followed by a final round at Chennai’s Madras International Circuit to determine the final grid.

  • Bengaluru round on January 28
  • Pune round on February 4

TVS One Make Championship: Women and rookies eligibility

2023 will be the seventh edition of the TVS Women’s One Make Championship. Shortlisted participants will compete on the race-spec TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. All those looking to register will need a valid two-wheeler driving licence or must have completed Level 1 Fmsci Certified Training at any racing training school.

The rookie category, meanwhile, focuses on developing talent under 18 years old and returns for its third edition. Competitors will race on the TVS Apache RR 200. Participants will need to be 11-18 years old and must have completed Level 1 FMSCI certified training. They’ll also need to be accompanied by a guardian

All participants will get a full set of racing gear, including the racing overalls, gloves and boots.

2023 TVS One Make Championship: Selection round details

The first selection round will take place at Bengaluru’s Aruani Grid (Vemana Road) on January 28. The second one will be at the Pune Kart Drome on February 4. Both rounds will also include full day training sessions. Those interested in registering can call +91 9632253833.

The top 20 participants will progress to the final round at Chennai’s Madras International Circuit. Trials for the women’s category will be on April 29 and for the rookies category on April 30.  Following the final selection round, all the shortlisted riders will undergo training with TVS’ national champions K. Jagan, KY Ahamed, Harry Sylvester, Deepak Ravikumar and Aishwarya Pissay. These training sessions will focus on helping the riders improve their physical fitness and hone their skills before the 2023 INMRC.
