The third edition took place on 28 July and ended in two days.

  • 2008

In 2008 the festival took place on 26 July, and more than 100 DJs participated for the first time.

  • 2009

Tomorrowland 2009 took place on 25 July and attracted more than 90000 people. LA Rocca performed live at this festival.

  • 2010

Tomorrowland 2010 attracted more than 120000 people. Tara McDonald and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike wrote the anthem 'Tomorrow/Give into the night', and it was performed twice on the stage. The name of the festival theme was 'Zon', and get nominations for Best Music Event from the International Dance Music awards.

The edition of Tomorrowland 2011 expanded from two days to three days starting from 22 to 24 July. The theme name was 'The tree of life'. It was completely sold out and attracted more than 180000 people. Artists like David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, and Raven Tensnake performed at the festival.

  • 2012

The 2012 edition of Tomorrowland took place on 27 July and ended on 29 July at De Schorre. More than 400 DJs participated in the festival. Tomorrowland 2012 attracted more than 185000 people worldwide, specifically from 75 countries. 35000 of them stayed in Dreamville. More than 80000 tickets were sold before the festival date because of the enormous success of the festival. At the same time, more than 2000000 people were on the waiting list. Total tickets were 180000, out of which the remaining 100000 tickets sold out in 43 minutes. The festival's theme name was 'The Book of Wisdom'. It also won the award for the best music event.

This edition of Tomorrowland took place on 26 July and ended on 28 July at De Schorre. This edition ended up attracting more than 180000 people.

The theme name of this edition was "The arising of life". And the anthem was "Chattahoochee". It offered its journey packages with Brussels airlines. It had 140 additional flights from 67 different cities. Artists like Axwell, Armin Van Buuren, Hardwell, David Guetta and many more performed at the festival.

To celebrate Tomorrowland's tenth anniversary, the festival was held in two different weeks. First, it started on July 18 and ended on July 20. And secondly, it started on 25 July and ended on 27 July. MTV announced in 2014 that it would produce two hours long world stage special featuring performances from the festival. It would produce a documentary surrounding the 10th anniversary. Different artists performed at the event. Hans Zimmer and Tomorrowland announced that they had produced a classical hymn. It would premier during the 10th-anniversary edition of Tomorrowland. The number of attendees increased. It ended up attracting more than 360000 people globally.

The 2015 edition took place on 24 July. It ended on 26 July and ended up attracting 180000 people. The theme of this festival was 'The secret Kingdom of Melodia'. Artists like David Guetta, Carl Cox, Hardwell and many more performed at the festival. It also received the award for Worlds best music festival.

  • 2016

Tomorrowland 2016 started on 22 July and ended on 24 July. The theme of this edition was 'The Elixir of life'. And attracted 180000 people. The edition 2016 was a surprise set and was sponsored by Budweiser. Many artists performed here at the event.

In 2017, Tomorrowland again expanded to two weeks since its first tenth anniversary in 2014. It first started on 21 July and ended on 23 July. It then started on 28 July and ended on 30 July. This year the record was made. More than 400000 tickets were sold within two weeks.

Many artists performed at the festival. Martin Garrix premiered his song 'Pizza' at the festival. It was initially intended to be Tomorrowland exclusive before it was released as a single. At the end of 2017, Tomorrowland became the most prominent social media music event in the world at that time. Different artists and people performed on the stage.

This edition of Tomorrowland attended 400000 visitors for the second year-year running across two weeks. The festival's first week started on 20 July and ended on 22 July. Then it started on 27 July and ended on 29 July. All the tickets for the festival were sold out in an hour. David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas, Armin van Buuren and more were the Mainstage performers. The theme for this edition was 'The story of Planaxis'. It also paid tribute to the late Swedish DJ, who died three months before the festival. Many artists were down to perform at the festival.

For the fifteenth anniversary, the Mainstage theme of Tomorrowland was 'The book of Wisdom', which was previously used in 2012. The festival started on July 19 and ended on July 21. Then it started on July 26 and ended on July 28. Regular performers such as The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren and many more were seen performing at the festival. Bebe Rexha and ASAP Rocky were also present and lined up at the festival. Some rumours were also made at the festival.

The edition 2020 of Tomorrowland took place on 25 and 26 July. The theme of this edition was 'The reflection of love' revealed on the main stage in 2019. Tomorrowland announced a virtual festival would go ahead in place of the 2020 edition. The virtual event, titled Tomorrowland Around the World. It also organized a new year festival on December 31.

  • 2021

In 2021 Due to Covid, it was announced that the festival could be delayed this time until the final week of August or September. It was made to make the festival more secure during the Covid. In 2021 the festival was cancelled two times because of Covid and the vaccinations.

  • 2022

Tomorrowland announced that the festival would expand from one week to three weeks. The first week started on July 15 and ended on July 17. Then it started on July 22 and ended on July 24. The third week started on July 29 and ended on July 31. The theme was 'the reflection of love', attracting more than 600000 people from different countries.

Tomorrowland 2023

Tomorrowland 2023 is expected to start on July 21. It will expand from one week to two weeks.
