Kalvin Phillips gets off to worst possible start just three minutes into West Ham debut

On Thursday, David Moyes made his debut right away against the Cherries. But three minutes into the game, Phillips made a costly mistake when Dominic Solanke intercepted his back pass. The attacker for Bournemouth then put the visitors ahead with ease. It was Phillips' second touch of the game that resulted in his costly blunder.

On social media, fans responded quickly. One person remarked, "Poor old Phillips."Someone else joked, "Great assist."Others, meanwhile, were quick to blame the error on Kurt Zouma's ball to Phillips. Another third advocated, "Think Zouma more to blame."

Another said in the meantime, "You can't blame him for that." After finding it difficult to establish himself in Pep Guardiola's squad, Phillips finished his loan move away from City last week. He was limited to just 89 minutes of Premier League action this season before to tonight's game, and he made just six starts for the Treble winners. With consistent play for the Hammers, the 28-year-old hopes to solidify his spot on Gareth Southgate's Euros roster.
