Following the tragic death of Nigeria afro beat singer Mohbad, his Wife, Wunmi, has found herself at the centre of a stormy controversy and speculation. Beside suspecting her of having a hand in the death of her husband, it had also been alleged that the child she had for Mohbad was actually the seed of her husband's bully, Sam Larry.
This controversial propagation had self-acclaimed investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo as one of the most vocal figures that has been casting doubts on the paternity of Wunmi’s child.
She had claimed that her investigation revealed that the child is not Mohbad's child because his wife had sexual intercourse with the males in the Marlian clique. To cause more confusion, Olunloyo had recently taken to Social Media claiming to have a DNA test report for the child and demanding that Wunmi publicly reveal the true identity of the child’s father.
However, while the controversy and confusion was agog on social media, controversial Nigerian actor Uche Maduagwu came out to reveal an unsettling encounter where he was offered money to accuse the late Mohbad’s wife, Wumi, of involvement in her husband’s death and to promote the false narrative of her undergoing a DNA test.
Maduagwu said a group of individuals had approached him on September 15, offering him 3 million naira to spread the misinformation, he said he refused the 3 million naira offer from these unidentified individuals, as he had no personal connection with the late Mohbad or his family to make such accusations against the wife.
He firmly believed that these same individuals may have approached other online personalities to establish the false narrative about Mohbad’s wife being a primary suspect of the singer's death, and at the same time advocating for a DNA test.
However, the question is where did Olunloyo get her own DNA test report from? When did it take place and in which hospital? And who are these faceless people trying to wrap up the case by paying notable persons to castigate the wife of the late singer? Is Kemi Olunloyo and others working for these faceless individuals?
