Still in the battle of threats from all angles caused by alleged fraudulent presidential elections in Nigeria, whereby Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared  winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which is being challenged in court by other contenders, oil tycoon Jimoh Ibrahim, an All Progressives Congress (APC) member has also sounded the trumpet of a civil war in the country if the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not sworn in to take over from the outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari on 29th of May. 

In his memo entitled "Stop Tinubu and Prepare for World War III," Ibrahim noted that events of converging complexity in the country threaten internal peace. According to him, he believed that if Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, was not sworn in on May 29 to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria would be consumed by a bloody civil war.

Ibrahim, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and also elected  senator to represent Ondo State in the 10th Senate, warned in a security note Monday that he has written to some foreign organizations.

The text reads: “May 29, 2023, the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu, is an incredible advancement of democracy in a developing country. It is inevitable, a destiny with a collaborative geo-centric world to order international peace and security.

“Even in the face of the realist (power currency), it is not negotiable, and the simple alternative to the perpetual peaceful inauguration is a third world war (God forbid!). The total peace of humanity is the reason for our sacrifices in the last three years of our convergence. It is left for me to sound a warning for the historical trajectory that the First World War was triggered by the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary (just one individual).

“Again, these are the consequences of alliances, imperialism, militarism, and nationalism. It is also not the case that we forgot the event of the Blank Check Assurance: Conspired Plans of Germany and Austria-Hungary and the Germany Millenarianism – Spirit of 1914. In any event, and as war expects, we will remember Athens and Sparta of the Peloponnesian War, the precarious Peace of Nicias, or the battle of Mantinea in 418 BC”

He further stated that: “A constitutional breach sounds incredibly anarchical if President-Elect, Bola Tinubu, is not sworn in on May 29, 2023”. The memo was shared with the United Nations Security Council, and the Intelligence Services of the United States, United Kingdom and China.

However, he warned that the genocide could spill over from Nigeria's borders if the government does not take action. While urging the UN Security Council and British, American and Chinese intelligence agencies to act quickly, Senator-elect asserted that Nigeria could not stand another civil war caused by some uninstructed persons.
