NIgerians Decide 2023: Why CASA Projected Atiku As The Potential Winner

According to an alleged interim report of a nine-month study conducted by June Group Research and Council for African Security Affairs (CASA), led by Dr. Oludare Ogunlana with other intelligence officials in the United States, Europe and Nigeria, the People's Democratic Party candidate has been projected as a potential winner in Nigeria's upcoming presidential election.

PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was ranked higher than other candidates from the All Progressive Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP) and New Nigeria Peoples' Party (NNPP) on four key variables: geography politics, religion, resources and class.

According to the actors behind the research, the range is limited to observing political actors and interviewing stakeholders from organizations in six areas of Nigeria and Nigerians in the Diaspora: political leaders, women's groups, religious organizations, civil society, trade unions and youth organisations. In each interview, they said they focused on five areas: candidate personality, ethnic influence, religion, incumbent power, voter behaviour, role of emotions, political socialization and tolerance. with regard to the diversity of political opinions.

The researchers also claimed that the study, which actually started in May 2022, accurately predicted the outcome of the PDP and APC primary elections and the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as candidates for their respective parties.

In their statement, they said: "We determined where political influencers, religious leaders, organizations and diaspora Nigerians stood with the voting president in February 2023 and how this correlated to each candidate's victory. In addition, we collected data from facilitated workshops and interactive polling sessions with Nigerian political opinion leaders, including lawyers, political activists, and former and current political office holders.

While we respect several polls where a particular candidate is the preferred candidate to win the election, we argue that the data alone doesn't speak for itself when that data is based on manipulations and biased studies. The outcome of any data must be in context, including an understanding of the people, culture, patterns, geographic distribution and historical antecedents of the platform."

In conclusion, the researchers predicted that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would take 64% from the three northern regions, 45% from the south-south region where his running mates are from, 37% from the southeast with 27% from the Southwest, the stronghold of the APC candidate.

This is another of the many predictions, polls, surveys, prophecies, predictions from witches and wizards about the upcoming general elections in Nigeria, especially the presidential elections to choose who will take over from President Muhammadu Buhari, whose term expires on May 29, 2023 .

However, it should be noted that not all predictions, research, opinion polls, prophecies and even predictions from witches and wizards has not anonymously predicted a particular candidate as the absolute winner. Their prediction projects swing in different directions. And people do not wholeheartedly accept these predicted outcomes because some of them are politically sponsored to mislead people. At the same time, to satisfy the desires of the sponsors.
