Turkey Earthquake: Days After Hatayspor's Claim, True Condition Of Trapped Ghanaian International, Christian Atsu Revealed

After his current club Hatayspor revealed he was rescued and hospitalised, the whereabouts of 31-year-old Ghanaian international Christian Atsu were unknown following disasters in southern Turkey and northern Syria in the early hours on Monday morning.

Atsu's teammates and friends have expressed concern for the player's safety, who remains buried under rubble three days after the incident.

Controversial Bongo Ideas calls on Ghanaians to give up hope of Christian Atsu surviving under rubble for three days. Bongo Ideas has been pessimistic since the first day Christian Atsu was trapped under rubble after the earthquake in Turkey.

He always believed Christian Atsu couldn't make it out alive and with three days under the rubble seems more optimistic about his negative feelings than he is. In a tweet on Wednesday, Bongo Ideas said, “We can all painfully accept that Christian Atsu did not survive. Surviving 3 days under the rubble is next to impossible. At that point, it's over!” He continued explaining that if you are trapped under the rubble, if you are not found within 24 hours, your chances of survival decrease as time goes on.

Nottingham Forest's Andre Ayew also lamented the condition of national team-mate Christian Atsu, who remains trapped in rubble since earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The Ghanaian International expressed sadness over the earthquake as Atsu is still missing, and said he missed him so much.

Magpies head coach Eddie Howe, who worked with Atsu during the 2015/16 season on loan from Chelsea to Bournemouth, said: "It is extremely concerning. However, he has expressed concerns for the former Newcastle and Bournemouth midfielder, who is still uncounted since the earthquake.
