Oat Milk Chocolate Bars are a great option if you’re looking for a delicious and creamy alternative to milk chocolate.

Chocolate bars made of oat milk are also a great option if you or someone you know has a milk allergy.

Each day there seems to be a new dairy-free chocolate bar joining the ever-growing selection of vegan-friendly chocolate on supermarket shelves.

And I love it! 

It’s great news for me, as a vegan. And for anyone else who’s either vegan, trying to reduce their dairy intake. Or those just loves some oaty goodness.

Aside from oat milk, some of the other vegan-friendly alternatives to dairy milk chocolate bars are made using almond, hazelnut, soy milk and rice milk. 

But today we’re going to look at vegan oat milk chocolate bars.

In the fast-moving market we’re currently living in, these are my favourites this month. But, who knows, there may be even more to add to the list by the time next month rolls around. 

Ombar Oat M’lk Bar Smooth & Creamy, Vegan Chocolate

Ombar’s oat milk Smooth and Creamy chocolate bar is an organic, fair-trade dairy-free bar. 

I love this bar for two reasons, its taste and its message. 

Let’s start with its taste. Ombar’s oat milk chocolate bar is rich and creamy. But not too thick, which I think is an advantage when it comes to oat chocolate. There’s also a nice subtle but delicious oaty flavour.

The message they deliver through their chocolate is great too because they explain all the good stuff they have going on. Like how this bar produces less than half the carbon emission of regular milk chocolate. How they make a donation to a reforestation charity every time a bar is sold. And that they are palm oil free, fair trade and organic and of course, vegan.

As well as their original Smooth and Creamy bar they also have three other vegan oat milk bars;  hazelnut, salted caramel and a fruit and nut – take a look at Ombar’s oat milk bar range on Amazon. 

Next up is H!P’s Original Creamy & Smooth chocolate bar. 

Some have described this as tasting similar to original Dairy Milk bars. This is impressive as Cadbury’s couldn’t even do this with their own vegan plant bar. 

It’s the texture that most people find special. Chilled it’s not so good but if you keep it out of the fridge it’s got a nice chewy texture. Along with the original bar, they also have a bunch of other flavours such as salty pretzel, cookies and cream and salted honeycomb.

Yes, that’s right Lindt’s vegan bar is made from oat milk too.

From Lindt, you’d expect a smooth, rich and creamy bar that melts in your mouth. And they haven’t done a bad job.

This oat milk bar is creamy and a bit sweeter than most vegan chocolate bars so it taste more like milk chocolate.

Gnaws oat milk chocolate is a favourite of both vegans and non-vegans. I’ve even heard folk say it’s as good as any milk chocolate going, this is an incredible feat.

While they don’t exclusively sell vegan chocolate (so look out for the vegan ones), they do offer a great range of plant-based chocolatey treats. 

And they do other good stuff too, like only using natural and locally sourced ingredients. As well as their commitment to zero waste packaging.

The final oat milk chocolate bar on the list Happi’s Plain Oat Milk Bar. 

The chocolate colour is darker than most oat milk chocolate bars but that doesn’t impact the creaminess. It’s one of the creamiest oat milk bars there is, it pretty much melts in the mouth.

So far, I’ve only tried their plain oat milk bar but when I make some room in my cupboard I’m going to try some others from their range. They’ve got; white chocolate, orange chocolate and crunch cacao nibs chocolate.

I’ve heard really great things about the crunch cacao nibs bar!
