Top 10 best and iconic companions of Ash in Pokemon Anime.

For all Pokémon franchise fan, we have already discussed Ash's pokemon teams from different regions. Here is another interesting article about top 10 iconic and best traveling companions of Ash throughout his whole journey in different regions.

A young and eager Pokémon Trainer embarked on an adventure that would alter the course of history 25 years ago. Ash Ketchum traveled through eight Pokémon regions on his quest to perfect the game, engaged in battles with anybody who would take the challenge, and made friends for life. It's time to honor the people and Pokémon that supported him along the way as his epic journey comes to an end with the final 12 episodes of Pokémon the Series—titled "To Be a Pokémon Master"—available on Netflix starting September 8, 2023. These are the top 10 Ash's traveling partners from the past 25 years.

10. Clemont:

When we first see Clemont, his creation, Clembot ("Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!"), has forced him out of the Lumiose City Gym, which he oversees as Gym Leader. The situation Ash and his companions find themselves in throughout the entire series is among the funniest, despite the fact that it delays Ash's preparations to fight the Lumiose City Gym. The fact that Clemont is first and foremost a scientist—as seen by his mantra "the future is now, thanks to science!"—is another significant revelation. Even though Clemont's extremely inventive creations frequently fail, they provide a fun contrast to Team Rocket's own mechas. Clemont stands out because he is a person who is content to live in the background and support his friends while they chase their aspirations. The fight between Clemont and Ash at the Lumiose City Gym is among the most eagerly anticipated fights (see "The Moment of Lumiose Truth!"). It will be an exciting duel because they have been traveling together for a while and are familiar with each other's Pokémon and fighting strategies.

9. Mallow:

For the most part of the animated series, fighting takes center stage. After all, Ash enjoys doing it the most. Thus, the chance to witness Ash's companions learn brand-new, fascinating techniques for communicating with Pokémon is as energizing as a cold glass of Pinap juice on a scorching Alola day. As one of Ash's few classmates at the Pokémon School on Melemele Island, Mallow's love of cooking helps us to discover the diverse, fascinating territory of Alola as she shops for supplies and creates new dishes. Because of Mallow's closeness to Pokémon, even the sceptical Meowth is convinced of her talent after observing her prepare meals for and serve a variety of Pokémon throughout the course of a day at Oranguru's café. Without Mallow, we would have never discovered Poni Island radishes ("That's Some Spicy Island Research!") or learned that feeding a guardian deity a great burger will earn you a Grassium Z. The Alola seasons have some of the most vibrant and entertaining episodes in the long history of the anime series, despite the fact that Mallow has never been a champion in the Pokémon League.

8. Kaiwe:

It is uncommon for Ash to see life at home because most of his traveling friends are off on their own adventures. Kiawe is an exception to that, and what we see of his life on his parent's farm on Akala Island makes us respect his hard ethic and enthusiasm for Pokémon. Kiawe is a Fire-type Pokémon Trainer and aspirant island kahuna. He has a long list of physically taxing daily responsibilities, and at night he trains his Pokémon ("Young Kiawe Had a Farm!"). All to follow in the footsteps of his late island kahuna grandpa, from whom Kiawe acquired a Z-Ring and his first Pokémon, Charizard. Kiawe provides a unique perspective and backdrop, centered on tradition and family in a series full of unusual people and situations.

7. Dawn:

While some characters struggle to find their purpose, Dawn always knew she wanted to carry on her mother's legacy. The self-assured Pokémon Coordinator from Twinleaf Town in Sinnoh is focused on becoming a Top Coordinator. She's determined to realize her ambition, and she's got the obstinate Piplup by her side. Dawn can also be credited with demonstrating to Pokémon fans the connection between Pokémon battles and Pokémon Contest performances as a result of pursuing her passion. She frequently conjures up ridiculously imaginative attacks, some of which Ash subsequently utilizes in his own bouts, such as Flame Ice ("Double-Time Battle Training!"), Ice Aqua Jet ("A Stand-Up Sit-Down!"), and Ice Chandelier ("Opposites Interact!"). After Buizel demonstrates a preference for combat and Aipom for performing ("Throwing the Track Switch"), Ash and Dawn even switch Pokémon. Dawn's mission reveals another, much more enjoyable part of the Pokémon universe while Pokémon Journeys is definitely focused on Pokémon battles, which are Ash's main interests.

6. Serena:

At the start of Pokémon the Series: XY ("Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!"), it's simple to undervalue Serena. She doesn't appear to have any dreams other than to meet the boy she previously met and fell in love with, and her abilities as a Rhyhorn racer are at best subpar. Serena, however, has one of the most thorough makeovers of any character in the animation, whether they are humans or Pokémon. She refuses her mother's urging that she become a Rhyhorn racer, unlike many protagonists who follow in their parents' ways ("Day Three Blockbusters!"), and instead finds her own path and dreams as a Pokémon Performer. She puts forth a lot of effort, winning the respect and admiration of both her peers and opponents. Serena's commitment to her friendship with Ash is unwavering. When Ash is too ill to face the challenge himself ("Battling at Full Volume!"), Serena assumes the identity of Ash and engages in combat with Jimmy and his Pikachu in one of the most memorable scenes in the entire series. It's a fantastic moment that demonstrates Serena's combat prowess and her familiarity with Ash, who is obviously very important to her.

5. Greninja:

All of Ash's Pokémon perform amazing feats when they are together, but only Greninja merges into Ash. Froakie establishes itself as a distinctive Pokémon right away. In its quest to find the best Trainer so that it can grow as strong as possible ("Cloudy Fate, Bright Future!"), it rejects a number of them. And after observing and taking part in a number of battles with Team Rocket ("Lumiose City Pursuit!"), Froakie decides on Ash. Throughout the story, we get to see a number of Pokémon select their Trainers, and it's always an exciting time. The common desire to be the best may be what causes Ash and Froakie to train until their Pokémon completes its last Evolution, which results in the creation of the Pokémon Ash-Greninja ("A Festival of Decisions!"). Even Diantha, the champion of the Kalos region, is startled and impressed by this new form. Ash's Greninja changes in more ways than anybody could have imagined, from a tiny Froakie in a pond full of other Froakie to a fighter in the Lumiose Conference ("A League of His Own!") to aiding in the defense of Kalos against Lysandre ("A Towering Takeover!").

4. Brock:

While many characters in the Pokémon universe stand out for their lofty ambitions, Brock stands out for his numerous selfless deeds. There is a quiet and pure heroism in Brock's preference for taking care of Pokémon than engaging in combat with them, despite taking up the role of Gym Leader in Pewter City. He sets up camp, prepares meals for his human and Pokémon pals, and takes care of the Pokémon when traveling with Ash and Misty. Even essential resources like ingredients, maps, and potions are kept by him. And he does it all so quietly and without asking for praise that Misty and Ash get rapidly overburdened when he becomes ill ("Sick Daze").

Although Brock's romantic advances were undoubtedly a swing and a miss for all parties concerned, it is impossible to ignore his lasting influence on Ash as a Trainer and the cartoon as a whole.

3. Charizard:

Over the course of his travels, Ash captures and raises a number of noteworthy Pokémon, but Charizard stands out because of its compelling emotional arcs. Pokémon fans have a special place in their hearts for Charizard because of its traumatic upbringing, cruel abandonment ("Charmander-The Stray Pokémon"), eventual loyalty to Ash despite its initial resistance, separation from Ash while it trains in the Charicific Valley ("Charizard's Burning Ambition"), and numerous reunions every time Ash visits Pallet Town. The development of Ash's friendship with Charizard also reveals the nuanced beauty of humanity's relationship with Pokémon.

2. Misty:

Misty is a legend in her own right because she is Ash's first acquaintance outside of the Pokémon world. As she famously retrieves Ash and Pikachu out of a river after Ash leaps in to flee a swarm of invading Spearows ("Pokémon—I Choose You!"), it is true that her friendship with Ash didn't start out well. This seems to be a recurring issue for Ash. Ash thanks Misty for telling him about a Pokémon Center where he may go to heal his Pokémon by "borrowing" her bike and ruining it. It's an improbable but incredibly memorable beginning to an incredible friendship. But Misty is more than simply Ash's pal. She oversees the Cerulean Gym as its gym leader. an ambitious Pokémon Master of the Water type. a sibling. sometimes a mermaid. And it's impossible to imagine Pokemon world without her.

1. Pikachu:

Pikachu is and always will be the best friend Ash has ever had, which definitely doesn't need to be mentioned. We always knew Ash wouldn't be on his own, no matter how difficult the situation, because his Pokémon partner would be by his side. They had a hard beginning because of Ash's inexperience as a new Trainer, which led Pikachu to oppose him, but that just serves to emphasize how far they've gone.

On September 8, 2023, Netflix will release the final 12 episodes of Ash and Pikachu's adventure, "To Be a Pokémon Master." And to all the admirers of this amazing adventure that brought us all so far and taught us so much, keep in mind that even though friends don't always stay together, good friendships live forever.
