In this meeting of the state cabinet, there can be a discussion on restoring the status of 31 government schools. In the past, the Sukhu government had reduced the status of 70 high and senior secondary schools that were upgraded after April 1, 2022, due to less number of students. After the opposition of the parents and the intervention of Congress State President Pratibha Singh and former MLA Asha Kumari, the government had decided to reconsider the matter.

Instead of the admissions of March 31 and April 15, 2023, it was said to take future decisions regarding the status of the schools on the basis of the admissions done in the schools till May 29. In this episode, the Directorate of Education has sent a new report of admissions to the government. In this, admission of students has increased in 31 out of 70 schools. In such a situation, now a decision can be taken to increase the status of these 31 schools in the cabinet meeting. Apart from this, decisions will also be taken in the cabinet meeting on several measures to increase the income of the state government.
