1. Microsoft Teams

Beginner-level live streamers find that Restream is a good option for learning the ropes. Multistreaming capabilities and integration with over 30 platforms make it possible to get aggregated streaming data, and recordings of streams can be saved for later use. However, the lack of a white-label hosting solution takes Restream out of the running when it comes to truly professional-looking options.

4. Ecamm Live

Ecamm Live is a program designed specifically for Mac, and it’s considered one of the most powerful live-streaming apps for that system. The Pro mode of Ecamm Live makes it easy to invite guests via the web by offering an Interview mode, although standard users will need to rely on Skype. 

Unfortunately, Ecamm Live doesn’t have built-in multicasting features. Users need to rely on another integrated program such as Restream or Switchboard Live. Despite this pitfall, it’s still a good option for Mac users who need to produce quality live-streamed videos with remote guests.

Start Exploring Options

No one remote guest platform for live streaming is perfect for every user. Consider factors such as ease of use for the producer and level of confidence in the required technologies, how familiar the guests will be with the program, and what the viewers expect in terms of quality. Some platforms offer free versions or free trials, so don’t be afraid to start experimenting. Just keep in mind that a paid version will likely become necessary.
