Toke Makinwa, the well-known Nigerian media personality and author, has recently voiced her strong opinion on Women asking men for financial assistance for items they cannot afford themselves. In a candid conversation with Iyabo Ojo, which has since gone viral, Toke emphasized the importance of self-reliance and the negative impact this habit has on women's respect in society.
Makinwa passionately stated, "If you can't buy it for yourself, don't ask him. Don't do it. And they are the reason why men insult women. As a woman, when you now have standards, then they look at you as if you are asking for too much. Just because the bare minimum has asked you to buy her a wig."
