In a daring case of automobile theft, the Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 27-year-old man, Ogbonna Eze, who allegedly posed as a delivery man to steal vital car components. This shocking revelation came to light during a press conference on Tuesday, October 17, where the suspect was paraded before the media.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, the arrest followed reports received on September 18, 2023, that Eze was masquerading as a dispatch rider to pilfer valuable vehicle parts, including Brain Boxes. Law enforcement authorities promptly launched an investigation that led to the swift apprehension of the suspect.

In a related incident, police officers acted on credible intelligence on October 10, 2023, and arrested a group of individuals dressed in military uniforms who were caught in the act of stealing brain boxes at a motor park in Surulere. One of the culprits, identified as Kelechi Ofo, was apprehended with three brain boxes, while others managed to escape upon the arrival of the police.

Furthermore, on October 15, 2023, operatives of the Lagos State Police Command arrested a group of five individuals believed to be responsible for the theft of a Cherokee jeep. The suspects were involved in disassembling the stolen vehicle and selling its parts at a local spare part market.

SP Hundeyin noted that all the suspects would be promptly arraigned in court to face the consequences of their alleged criminal activities.
