I Only Injured My Wife In The Hand With Broken Mirror, But I Wasn't The One That Killed Her -Suspect

Mr Ndubisi Wilson Uwadiegwu, the suspect who was alleged to have killed his wife over an argument they had over a piece of bread has revealed in an exclusive interview with BBC Igbo that he was not the one who killed his wife, Ogochukwu Anene. Ogochukwu Anene, from Umuokpu village in Awka, Anambra State, was married to Ndubisi Wilson Uwadiegwu from Enugu state and their union was blessed with four sons and a daughter.

During the interview with BBC Igbo, the suspect disclosed that his wife died of hypertension and not that she died after he beat her. The suspect also revealed that he angrily broke a mirror in their house and used it to injure his wife in the hand after she insulted him for refusing to give her money that she asked for. The suspect, Ndubisi Wilson Uwadiegwu also revealed that he has only beaten his wife once and that was a long time ago. The suspect also disclosed that he beat his 14-year-old son as well because he joined his mother to insult him after he refused to give her the money she requested for.

The suspect said, "My wife and I had only an argument and not a fight. And I didn't even beat her. I only injured her with a broken mirror and she made me angry by asking for more money after I gave her money to buy bread. The reason why I angrily injured her was because she was insulting me and I injured her hand with the broken mirror. I also beat my 14-year-old son because he joined his mother to insult me, but I wasn't the one that killed her."
