It’s time once again to review my Quarterly Goals and do a quick update for October 2023. And once again, I found there have been changes.

Since my June update, we added a new Family member, Zina. She is a German Shepherd Rottweiler Mix born in June.

She’s quite the spicy girl and dare devil but I am excited about her coming along with me on my hiking adventures when she’s ready and old enough.

We started to walking a mile on our local trail and so far it’s going well although I think she isn’t quite to sure about it all just yet as she is still pretty skittish at first.

Now onto my health

• Walk 3 to 6 miles a day – I am currently at 842.54 which means I will achieve over 900 miles this year which is more than the year before and the year before that.
• Hike every other week – this had to change as I injured my back in early August and ended up going to Physical Therapy for 6 weeks before being cleared to going back to walking. And now that I have Zina, the mountains will have to wait a bit until she’s ready.
• Change diet – we continue on this trend to be a low-carb family and it’s working well. I am down 15 pounds and while I haven’t lost any more weight I am also not gaining any – I call this progress!

CREATIVITY

Same as before, I haven’t made much progress here because I did have more events this year and needed to maintain the inventory.

• Make a plan that feels sustainable to do the things below!
• Create 2 new Wood-Burning Tutorials a month
• Work on Guitar Cut out Wood-Burning that will be a special gift
• Use my laser to supplement income as well as for my own creative inspiration
• Create 2 Crochet Patterns a month
• Make art that excites me and brings me joy.

FAMILY

This is ongoing as well. There’s a new baby on the way due this month!

• Get wills done
• Find a notary for Power of Attorney
• Spend time with kids and grandkids
• Go on vacation with chosen family
• Visit my son and his partner

HOUSE

This is an ongoing process and I don’t have much of an update here.

• Remove Cedar Tree from front of the house
• Add shop for wood-working and joint business venture
• Declutter things we don’t need or use – this is an ongoing process
• Renovate each room
  • Bathrooms (2)
  • Bedrooms (3)
  • Kitchen
  • Living Room
  • Dining Room
• Paint House Exterior
• Clean up property – prep to be rented out
• Search and find a home with acreage

PHILANTHROPY  

I will have a specific month where I will be donating a % of my art sales. Every card transaction that comes through, a % now goes to a special folder so that at the end of the month, I can then donate.

• Donate Animal Art to Wildlife Center for Auction
• Donate to Urea Cycle Foundation
• Donate to the Trevor Project

MONEY

This is an ongoing process and I don’t have much of an update here.

• Increase net worth to $X
• Set up Profit First – continues to be in progress but it has been started
• Reduce Debt

TRAVEL + ADVENTURES

This is an ongoing process and I don’t have much of an update here.

• Camping in South Carolina with chosen family
• Camping for my friend’s vow renewal in North Carolina
• Road Trip with my partner
• Earthday Birthday Festival in Florida we did it.

BUSINESS GOALS

I am going through some changes in Business and life as I’ve mentioned above.

• Add 2 Business Development Days to my schedule every week
• Get clear on what I really want to focus on when it comes to coaching/problem-solving
• Declutter projects started and decide on what to do with them
• Write 4 books this year – First one is finished!
• Sign up as a Vendor at Markets + Festivals to sell Art
• Teach crochet and wood-burning by recording content for it. I want to take some time and explore what that will look like.
• Launch the Self-Reflection Society
• Update learning resources – they’ve moved here!
• Make a decision on the Podcast situation –still undecided here. Just not feeling it though.
• The income goal is $6500/month combined from all sources
• Rebrand with a new name as my partner is joining me with all things art – Smoky Wood Studios
• Kick off the Creative Life + Business Academy
• Create a membership that is fun and easy and low cost for members!

Well, this is where we are now with our quarterly goals for October 2023. I will need to take some time to ponder a few things and make a plan and stick to it.
