Ten million worth of fish caught in Wadduwa, Sri Lanka.
On Monday morning, November 14, 2022, a large number of "trevally" Fish were caught amazingly by a group of fishermen in Wadduwa, Sri Lanka, and piled up on the shores of Wadduwe. The fishermen say about 7000 to 8000 kg have been piled up. These fishermen have caught fish worth around Rs. 10 million in their net.
A large number of people had come to Wadduwa Talpitiya beach to buy fish, and the retail value of the fish caught in the net is said to be close to one crore rupees as mentioned above.
In the early morning of the 14th, the net was hanging in the sea far from the Wadduwa Talpitiya area and it was said that the net full of fish was piled up on the beach behind the Army Tourist Hotel.
The net keeper claimed that Trevally golden, Jest Trevally and Corkscrews are all caught in the nets.
But trevallies predominate among them.
