The district administration representative informed the court that District Coordination Officers (DCOs) had been authorized to set prices through amendments to the law. The counsel representing the Naanbais argued that flour prices were high, leading to increased fares. He asserted that the controller general lacked authority under Section 3 to intervene in this matter.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri inquired whether the Naanbais had been consulted regarding the price at which they purchased flour.

Temporarily halting the notification until the next hearing, the court requested a comprehensive response from the respondents and adjourned the session until May 6.
