Original Sin and the Creation of Man

Original Sin and the Creation of Man

In Islam, the belief in original sin is rejected as it contradicts the central Islamic belief in the absolute unity and oneness of God (tawhid), and the concept of individual accountability and free will. According to Islam, every person is born pure and sinless, and it is only through their own actions that they may become sinful. Islamic teachings emphasize the importance of personal responsibility and accountability for one’s actions. This is because each person is responsible for their own choices and actions, and will be held accountable for them on the Day of Judgment. Muslims are encouraged to strive towards righteousness and to constantly seek forgiveness for their sins through sincere repentance and good deeds. The Islamic concept of tawbah, or repentance, allows individuals to ask for forgiveness from God and to start anew, thereby wiping away their past misdeeds. In conclusion, the concept of original sin does not play a role in Islamic belief and teaching. Instead, Islam places emphasis on the importance of personal responsibility and accountability for one’s actions, and provides a path for individuals to constantly strive towards righteousness and seek forgiveness for their sins.

Here are some verses about original sin and the creation of man:

Quran 2:30
Sahih International
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.” They said, “Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?” Allah said, “Indeed, I know that which you do not know.

  • The verse is referring to when God informed the angels of his plan to create human beings on earth and give them authority. The angels expressed their concern about humans causing corruption and violence, but God reassured them that He has knowledge beyond theirs and that the creation of humans is part of his plan.

Quran 2:31-32
Sahih International
And He taught Adam the names – all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, “Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful – They said, “Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise.

  • These verses describe how God taught Adam the names of all things and then tested the angels by asking them to inform Him of these names. The angels acknowledged their limited knowledge and stated that only God has knowledge and wisdom. These verses highlight the superiority of God’s knowledge and wisdom compared to the knowledge of the angels and human beings.

Quran 38:71-76
Sahih International
[So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay – So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration, So the angels prostrated – all of them entirely – [ Allah ] said, “O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty? – He said, “I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.

  • The verses describe God’s creation of man from clay and the command for the angels to prostrate themselves to him. The Devil (Iblees) refused to do so and claimed to be better than man, citing the difference in their creation materials.

When Iblees refused to prostrate to Adam, Allah expelled him and cursed him

Quran 38:77-85
Allah said, “Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense – He said, “My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected – [ Allah ] said, “So indeed, you are of those reprieved – Until the Day of the time well-known – [Iblees] said, “By your might, I will surely mislead them all- [ Allah ] said, “The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say – [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together.

Quran,17:63
God said, “Go, for whoever of them follows you, indeed Hell will be the recompense of you – an ample recompense

Quran 15:42-43
Indeed, My servants – no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators, And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all.

Quran 16:99-100
Indeed, there is for him no authority over those who have believed and rely upon their Lord, [ Satan’s ] authority is only over those who take him as an ally and those who through him associate others with Allah .

  • In Islam, the devil is seen as a source of evil and temptation, and humans are encouraged to seek refuge in God and follow his guidance in order to avoid the devil’s influence and attain salvation. The devil can only mislead those who follow him and willingly choose to ignore God’s guidance. The devil has no power over those who have strong faith and a commitment to doing good and following God’s commands. In this way, the devil’s influence is limited by the choices and actions of individuals, who have the ability to resist his temptations and remain on the path of righteousness. Ultimately, the decision to follow the devil or to reject his influence and follow God is a matter of personal choice and a test of one’s faith and obedience to God.
ALLAH created Adam, and from him He created his wife, and from their progeny He created men and women

Quran 4:1
Sahih International
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.

Quran 2:35
And We said, “O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers.

ALLAH warned Adam and his wife against the Shaytaan

Quran 20:117-119
Sahih International
So We said, “O Adam, indeed this is an enemy to you and to your wife. Then let him not remove you from Paradise so you would suffer – Indeed, it is [promised] for you not to be hungry therein or be unclothed. And indeed, you will not be thirsty therein or be hot from the sun.

Then the Shaytaan whispered to Adam and his wife, and tempted them to eat from the forbidden tree

Quran 20:120-121
Then Satan whispered to him; he said, “O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and possession that will not deteriorate? – And Adam and his wife ate of it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred.

Their Lord called to them and said

Quran 7:22
Sahih International
So he made them fall, through deception. And when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten together over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And their Lord caller to them, “Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is to you a clear enemy?

  • The meaning of this passage is that Adam and Eve, the first humans in Islamic belief, were tricked by Satan into eating from the forbidden tree in Paradise. As a result of their disobedience, their private parts became exposed and they felt shame, covering themselves with leaves. God then called out to them and reminded them of His warning against eating from the tree and that Satan was their enemy.

When they ate from the tree, they regretted what they had done, and said:

Quran 7:23
Sahih International
They said, “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.

  • The verse refers that they realized their mistake and asked for forgiveness from Allah, acknowledging their wrongdoing and expressing their fear of being among the losers if they are not forgiven. The verse highlights the importance of admitting one’s mistakes and seeking forgiveness from Allah, as well as the need for humility and contrition in the face of wrongdoing.

Quran 2:37
Sahih International
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

  • The verse refers to the story of Adam’s repentance after he was tempted by Satan and disobeyed Allah’s command. The verse states that Allah accepted Adam’s repentance and forgave him, emphasizing that Allah is the Acceptor of repentance and the Merciful. This verse highlights the importance of seeking forgiveness from Allah and the possibility of redemption for those who repent and seek His forgiveness.
This is the way for Adam and his descendents: whoever sins then repents sincerely, Allaah will accept his repentance

Quran 42:25
Sahih International
And it is He who accepts repentance from his servants and pardons misdeeds, and He knows what you do.

Then ALLAH sent Adam and his wife, and Iblees, down to the earth, and He sent down Revelation to them

Quran 2:38-39
Sahih International
We said, “Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance – there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve – And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs – those will be companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

  • The verses Quran 2:38-39 refer to the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. According to Islamic tradition, Allah commanded them to leave the garden after they disobeyed His command. The term “all of you” in the verse refers to all the beings present in heaven at the time, including Adam, Eve, and Satan, as well as any other beings that may have existed there. It is not specified in the Quran how many beings were present, but the term is understood to include all of the beings present at the time. The verse emphasizes the importance of following Allah’s guidance and the consequences of disbelief and denying the signs of Allah. Those who follow the guidance will have peace and security, while those who reject it will face eternal suffering in the afterlife. The Quran 2:30 and Quran 38:71-76 state that Satan has not succeeded in his plan, as God created Adam and Eve to live on Earth. Nevertheless, Satan deceives individuals, as demonstrated by the story of Adam and Eve.

Hatred towards each other as a result of the distinction between good and evil.

Quran 7:24
Allah said, “Descend, being to one another enemies. And for you on the earth is a place of settlement and enjoyment for a time.

  • The meaning of this verse is that God has granted free will to all people, and God is aware that some may choose to reject Him and cause animosity towards each other. This responsibility lies with humanity and Satan, even though God is aware of it. This verse conveys a message from God to humanity, reminding us of our duty to preserve peace and tranquility, despite the difficulties we may encounter.

Allah created Adam from dust

Quran 32:7
Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay.

Quran 23:12
Sahih International
And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.

  • This verses is referring to the creation of Adam. According to the verse, Allah perfected everything He created and began the creation of man from clay. In the religious context, “clay” and “extract of clay” are often used interchangeably to refer to the substance from which humans were created according to Islamic belief. The use of “extract of clay” is sometimes seen as a more poetic way of expressing the same idea. Both terms are used to emphasize the idea that humans have a humble origin and are created from the same basic material, regardless of their social or economic status.

Quran 15:26
Sahih International
And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud.

  • The black mud referred to in Quran 15:26 is a substance created from the combination of dust from the earth and water. This mixture is described as being “altered” and black in color, and from it, the first human being, Adam, was created. The use of the term “black mud” serves to emphasize the connection of humanity to the earth and the physical world, while also highlighting the idea that Adam was created from a unique and special material. The meaning of the phrase “black mud out of clay” in this verse is symbolic and represents the origin of human beings from the earth and their connection to it. the verses in the Quran that describe the creation of humans from clay are referring to the same material. The different phrases used to describe the clay serve to emphasize different aspects of the creation story, but they all refer to the same substance from which humans were created.

Quran 55:14
He created man Adam from clay like [that of] pottery.

  • The meaning of Quran 55:14 is that Allah created the first man, Adam, from the same type of clay used for pottery. The comparison to “clay like that of pottery” emphasizes the idea of molding and shaping, suggesting that just as a potter molds and shapes pottery from clay, so too was Adam formed and created by Allah from the same material.

All human souls existed before their physical birth

Quran 7:172-174
And [mention] when your Lord took from the children of Adam – from their loins – their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying to them], “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, we have testified.” [This] – lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, “Indeed, we were of this unaware, Or [lest] you say, “It was only that our fathers associated [others in worship] with Allah before, and we were but descendants after them. Then would You destroy us for what the falsifiers have done?” And thus do We [explain in] detail the verses, and perhaps they will return.

  • This verse is referring to the pre-existence of the soul, According to this verse, the soul existed before being embodied in the physical body, and was made to bear witness to God’s lordship. The meaning of the phrase “lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, ‘Indeed, we were of this unaware, Or [lest] you say, “It was only that our fathers associated [others in worship] with Allah before, and we were but descendants after them. Then would You destroy us for what the falsifiers have done?” is that Allah took the descendants of Adam and made them testify that He was their Lord, so that they would not be able to claim on the Day of Judgment that they did not know that Allah was their Lord or that they were only following their ancestors in worshiping false gods. This testimony was given to prevent them from making excuses on the Day of Judgment, and to encourage them to return to the right path.

Quran 40: 11
They ( Disbelievers) will say ( On the day of Judgement ), “Our Lord, You made us lifeless twice and gave us life twice, and we have confessed our sins. So is there to an exit any way?

  • The soul is believed to have a pre-existent state before birth and experiences a spiritual death when it is separated from its connection with God. This pre-existent soul is then given life when it is breathed into the body at birth. The verse is referring to this concept of the soul’s pre-existence and its repeated experiences of death and life.

How life began on Earth

Quran 32:7-9
Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay. Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained, Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.

  • In the context of Quran 32:8-10, the “disdained substance” is commonly understood to refer to semen, which was considered lowly or contemptible in the ancient world. The verses describe how Allah created Adam from clay and then made his descendants from this disdained substance, emphasizing Allah’s power to create life from even the most unlikely of sources. The focus of the verses is on the creation of humanity by Allah and the gifts and blessings that Allah has given to humanity, such as hearing, vision, and hearts. The verses emphasize that Allah perfected and proportioned the human form, breathed life into it with His created soul, and granted humanity the gifts of hearing, vision, and hearts. Despite all of these blessings, the verse laments that people are often ungrateful for the gifts they have received

Quran 23:13-14
Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging, Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah , the best of creators.

  • The description in these verses is generally consistent with the scientific understanding of human development from a single fertilized egg to a developed individual.

Quran 39:6
He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah , your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?

  • Qur’an 39:6 is refer to the creation of Adam and Eve, the first human beings. The verse describes the creation of humanity by Allah and states that humans were created from a single soul and then given a mate, the “three veils of darkness” to the biological process of pregnancy and human development, the anterior abdominal wall, the uterine wall, and the amniotic membrane.

Quran 75:37
Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted?

  • In Qur’an 75:37, “he” refers to the human being, the Sperm from semen emitted refers to the reproductive cells, called sperm, that are produced in the male body and released during ejaculation as part of semen. Sperm are important in sexual reproduction because they fertilize the egg produced by the female, resulting in the creation of a new individual. In humans and many other animals, sperm are produced in the testicles and travel through the vas deferens to the urethra, from where they are expelled during ejaculation. Sperm are tiny cells with a long, slender tail that allows them to swim to the egg for fertilization. The combination of sperm and egg is a crucial step in the creation of a new individual, as it determines the genetic makeup of the resulting offspring.

Quran 75:38-40
Then he was a clinging clot, and [ Allah ] created [his form] and proportioned [him] And made of him two mates, the male and the female. Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead?

  • The verses Quran 75:38-39 are referring to the creation and development of a human being, starting from a “clinging clot” and ending with the creation of two mates, male and female. The verses describe the process of how Allah proportioned and formed the human being and created two mates. Similar descriptions to Quran 75:38-39 can also be found in Quran 23:13-14. These verses provide a general overview of the process of human creation and development as described in the Qur’an.

Quran 22:5
Sahih International
O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed – that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.

  • The verses you quoted, Surah Al-Muminun, verses 13-14, contain a similar description of the stages of human development as the verse in Surah Al-Hajj, verse 5, which you mentioned previously. Both verses describe the creation of humans from dust, followed by a sperm-drop, a clinging clot, and a lump of flesh, and emphasize the idea that life is a test from God.

Quran 20:55
From the earth We created you, and into it We will return you, and from it We will extract you another time.

  • Allah created Adam from a mixture of clay and the essence of life, and that all human beings are descendants of Adam and therefore have a physical connection to the earth. So, while all human beings are not created directly from the earth like Adam was, they are still considered to have originated from the earth through their connection to Adam. The verses Quran 20:55 can be understood in light of this belief, and are a reminder of the humble origins of human life and the ultimate return to the earth after death.

Quran 6:2
It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute.

  • According to Islamic belief, the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, were created by God from clay or earth. They are considered to be the ancestors of all humankind and their creation is seen as emphasizing the connection between humanity and the earth. This connection is referred to in Quran 6:2, which mentions the creation of humanity from earth and the decree of a specified death time for each individual. Despite this clear creation story, people still engage in disputes and arguments with each other.

Quran 37:11
Sahih International
Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], “Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?” Indeed, We created men from sticky clay.

  • The “sticky clay” referred to in Quran 37:11 and the “clay” referred to in Quran 15:26 in connection with the creation of Adam are the same substance. The use of “sticky clay” emphasizes the pliability and adaptability of humanity and the way they are shaped and changed by their experiences and decisions. The use of “clay” underscores the connection of human beings to the earth and their origin from it. Both terms describe the material from which humans were created. Although not created directly from the earth like Adam, all human beings are still believed to have originated from the earth through their connection to him.

Quran 25:54
Sahih International
And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].

  • This is an interpretation of Quran 25:54 that seeks to highlight its message of Tauhid, or the oneness of Allah, and the importance of acknowledging and accepting differences. The interpretation suggests that the birth of man from a sperm drop and the creation of offspring through the union of man and woman serve as proof of Allah’s power and mastery over the universe. It is believed that the differences between man and woman are not meant to create conflict but rather to complement one another. The verse is also seen as emphasizing the principle of difference in the world, which is evident in the difference between night and day, summer and winter, etc. The interpretation encourages Muslims to be patient and endure the differences they have with others, as these differences will ultimately lead to positive outcomes.

Quran 95:4-5
We have certainly created man in the best of stature, Then We return him to the lowest of the low.

  • The meaning of Quran 95:4-5 is that God has created human beings in the best and most perfect form, with a noble and elevated stature. However, despite this, human beings will eventually return to a state of humility and lowliness, which is described as the “lowest of the low.” This can be interpreted in several ways, such as a reminder of the transitory nature of human existence, the importance of humility in the face of divine power, or the ultimate return of all souls to God. Overall, these verses emphasize the concept of human beings being created with a noble purpose, but also serve as a reminder of their ultimate state of lowliness and dependence on God.

Quran 42:49-50
To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what he wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males – Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent.

Quran 2:28–29
How can you deny God, when you were dead and He gave you life, then He will put you to death, then He will bring you to life, then to Him you will be returned? It is He who created for you everything on earth, then turned to the heaven, and made them seven heavens. And He is aware of all things.

Quran 38:86-88
Say, [O Muhammad], “I do not ask you for the Qur’an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious – It is but a reminder to the worlds – And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time.

Quran 42:51
And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise.

Quran 31:20
Sahih International
Do you not see that Allah has made subject to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and amply bestowed upon you His favors, [both] apparent and unapparent? But of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening Book [from Him].

Quran 2:213
Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it – after the clear proofs came to them – out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

Quran 16:36
And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], “Worship Allah and avoid Taghut.” And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers.

Quran 3:19
Sahih International
Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them – out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah , then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account.

Quran 14:1
This is a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light by permission of their Lord – to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy –

Quran 33:40
Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah , of all things, Knowing.

Quran 7:158
Say, [O Muhammad], “O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, [from Him] to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death.” So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered prophet, who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him that you may be guided.

The Reality of Original Sin in Islam

Quran 2:37
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

Quran 35:18
And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination.

Quran 27:38
Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained.

Quran 3:85
And whoever desires other than Islam as religion – never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.

The Reality of Original Sin in Christianity

GOD created the first man Adam and his wife Eve from his (Adam’s) rib. GOD commanded, you both to drink and eat in heaven, but not to eat that tree fruits. If you eat the fruits of that tree, you people will become angels and you people will become immortals – Satan tells deceitful words to Eve. Eve then causes Adam to eat the fruits of that tree. Adam sinned by eating the fruits of that tree in disobedience to GOD’s command; This is called “Original Sin”. This original sin of Adam is transmitted to all his descendants. Thus all human beings are sinners by birth – that is one of the believe of Christians. And Christians say – whoever believes that Jesus died for the sins of all human beings, all their sins will be forgiven !

  • Dear Christian, Some verses of the Bible supporting “Original Sin”, before you commenting those – please think about these below Biblcal verses, are these Fabrications ?? Then WHY are you following Fabricated Bible ?? Then WHY These kind of Contradictions in the Bible ?? Dear Christian Please Think Yourself.!

Matthew 23:35
And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

  • According to Christian belief in original sin, all humans are considered sinners by birth. However, this contradicts the Bible which states that Abel was righteous, being one of Adam’s sons. If original sin were true, how could Abel be righteous? This shows that the concept of original sin is a fabrication.

Ezekiel 18:4
For everyone belongs to me, the parent as well as the child—both alike belong to me. The one who sins is the one who will die.

  • The verse in Ezekiel 18:4 states that the one who sins will die, while the Christian belief is that Jesus died for the sins of humanity. This seem like a contradiction, but many Christians still believe that Jesus’s death on the cross for their sin.

Ezekiel 18:20
The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.

  • According to the verses in Ezekiel 18:4 and 20, “the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son.” This contradicts the concept of original sin, which states that sin is transmitted from parent to child. This shows that the idea of original sin is a fabrication.

Matthew 18:1-3
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them, And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.

  1. According to the verse in Matthew 19:14, Jesus says that “heaven belongs to little children.” However, according to the Christian belief of original sin, all people, including children, are considered sinners from birth. This creates a contradiction in regards to whether children are sinless or not. Additionally, in Matthew 18:3, Jesus says that one must change and become like a little child in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. This also suggests that children are sinless. Based on these verses, it appears that the concept of original sin as a doctrine that all people are born sinners, is a fabrication.
