In a thrilling display of talent, Mykhailo Mudryk and Georgiy Sudakov shone brightly for Ukraine's Under-21 national team, leading them to a remarkable 3-1 victory over France in the quarterfinals of the Under-21 European Championship.

After Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki opened the scoring for France, Sudakov leveled the playing field for Ukraine with a successful penalty kick. Mudryk then displayed his brilliance by providing an outstanding assist for Sudakov's second goal of the game. Artem Bondarenko sealed the win for Ukraine with a late strike.

With three goals in four games, Sudakov now sits atop the tournament's scoring charts, attracting attention from Europe's top clubs despite currently playing for Shakhtar Donetsk. Mudryk, eager for his friend's success, expressed his hope that Sudakov would join him at Chelsea.

Following the victory over France, Mudryk stated, "Usually, it's the opposite – he assists me and I score. But now, seeing him score a penalty, I felt the urge to contribute more. I do everything for my friend, and I hope he continues to find the back of the net. I'm just promoting him!"

When asked about the prospect of Sudakov's potential move to Chelsea, Mudryk enthusiastically responded, "That would be great!"

Ukraine will now face Spain in the semi-finals, while England takes on Israel for the other spot in the final. Reflecting on their triumph, Mudryk expressed his satisfaction, saying, "Today, we played better than the French, and we are all delighted. Our ultimate goal is to win the tournament, and we're taking it one step at a time. We celebrate today, but our focus shifts to the Spaniards tomorrow."

He added, "We will certainly review our group stage match against Spain, treating it as a clean slate on which everything is written. From there, we will determine the best approach to face them and secure victory."
