Prime Minister Modi inaugurates 90th Interpol General Assembly in New Delhi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 90th edition of the Interpol General Assembly meeting in the country's national capital. 

The general assembly is Interpol's supreme governing body, which meets once a year to take key decisions related to its functioning Delegations from about 195 Interpol member countries are attending a four-day meeting. Ministers, police chiefs, heads of national central bureaus, and senior police officers make up the delegations.


India is hosting the event after a gap of about 25 years add inaugural meat Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for an enhanced Global cooperation to defeat the threats of terrorism corruption drug trafficking poaching and organized crimes stating that there could be no safe haven for the perpetrators of such offenses.
