Bandits Allegedly Kill Three Policemen And Three Other in Sokoto

Six people were in broad daylight killed by Bandits when they attacked a weekly market at Yar Bulutu in Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto State on Monday.

According to a source, the incident happened around 12:30pm in the afternoon when the bandits attacked the people who were busy buying and selling in the market and shot sporadically in all directions.

Sa’idu Ibrahim, a member representing Sabon Birni South at the State House of Assembly said the source claimed the bandits came to the market on about 20 motorcycles each carrying three persons and shot sporadically numbering about ninety (90) who carried out the deadly attack.

The source further explained, “First they went to where the mobile policemen who were guiding the market were stationed. They killed two of them and set one of their vehicles on fire.”
