Atishi claims advised to join BJP or face arrest soon.

Delhi minister claimed ED would conduct raids at her residence and relatives’ homes in the coming days.

Senior AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi made startling claims on Tuesday, stating that a person close to her had warned that she should either join the BJP or face Atishi warned of imminent arrest by the ED.

Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Atishi revealed that the ominous message extended beyond her alone, implicating three other prominent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders. She mentioned Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, MLA Durgesh Pathak, and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha as individuals also likely to face arrest.

The gravity of the situation was underscored by Atishi’s assertion that she had been informed about potential ED raids at not just her own residence but also at the homes of her relatives in the upcoming days.

These revelations have added fuel to the Political fire in Delhi, with AAP leaders decrying what they see as targeted harassment by government agencies. The claims come amidst a backdrop of heightened political tensions in the capital.

Atishi did not provide further details on the source of this warning or the basis for the anticipated actions by the ED. However, the implications of such allegations against senior AAP members raise concerns about potential political vendettas and misuse of investigative agencies.

The AAP leaders, including Atishi, have been vocal in their criticism of the BJP-led central government’s policies and actions. The latest claims of impending arrests and raids serve to deepen the rift between the ruling BJP and the opposition AAP in the politically charged atmosphere of Delhi.

As these developments unfold, they raise questions about the state of democratic norms and the use of state machinery for political ends. The AAP leaders’ defiant stance against these alleged threats indicates a readiness to confront what they perceive as attempts to stifle dissent and opposition voices in the country’s political landscape.

The AAP has accused the BJP of attempting to destabilize the Delhi government by targeting its leaders and attempting to break the party. Atishi pointed out that the BJP seemed rattled by the success of the INDIA bloc’s Ramlila Maidan rally, realizing that even arresting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would not lead to the disintegration of the AAP.

Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with a money laundering case related to the now-defunct excise policy of his government, was recently remanded to judicial custody until April 15 by a city court.

The latest developments come amidst allegations from AAP leaders, including Kirari MLA Rituraj Jha, who claimed to have been offered Rs 25 crore to switch allegiance to the BJP. This accusation of poaching legislators and attempting to break the AAP further underscores the tense political climate in Delhi.

The AAP has vehemently criticized the BJP’s tactics, accusing it of seeking to impose President’s rule in Delhi through such means. Atishi’s remarks highlight the party’s resolve to withstand pressure from the ruling party and continue its political agenda.

These allegations and counter-allegations between the AAP and the BJP paint a picture of intense political maneuvering in the capital. The arrest of Chief Minister Kejriwal and the subsequent judicial custody have only added to the tensions between the two parties.

As the political landscape in Delhi remains charged, with accusations of political vendetta and attempts to destabilize the government, the AAP appears determined to weather the storm and maintain its position against the BJP’s alleged tactics of coercion and inducement.
