Expelling Gotti koya’s is contrary to the law

Representative Picture

Challamalla Srinivas Rao, an officer of the Forest Department, was murdered in November. However, the forest range officer Challamalla Srinivas Rao were killed by the Gutti koya tribals on PODU LAND issue near Bhadradri Chadrugonda mandal in Errabodu forest. But after this murder, the forest officials asked the government to provide them with weapons to protect their lives while performing their duties.

At the time of cremation of Challamalla Srinivas rao, slogans “WE Want Justice” raised by forest officials and natives, during the final rites of the Forest Range Officer emotions ran high. In these case Gutti koya’s got notice from officials should be “move from the slopping areas”. According to the sources.

According to the CPI and All India Rythu-Kuli Sangam, Errabodu Forest Officer Challamalla Srinivas rao of Chandrugonda Mandal of Kothagudem District was killed in an unwanted manner, after the murder of forest officer Challamalla Srivinivas Rao the news that spreading that Gutti Koya’s should be removed from the sloping area.

But giving notices to drive away the Gutti koyas from there on the pretext of the killing of Forest Officer Challamalla Srinivas Rao and taking resolutions that the Gutti koya’s should be driven out is the latest contradiction and disruption to the civil society.

Guthikoya’s are citizens of this country. According to the 19th Schedule of the Constitution, the Constitution has provided an opportunity for the Gutti koya’s to live together as per the 5th Schedule. Which is the right given by the modern civil society.

Our students are studying and living as citizens in America, England, Australia, Africa and other places. They also live in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and other places. If this principle is applied the society becomes barbaric

As the Guthikoya’s are the most backward people, it is against the law to see that they should be kicked out of the sloped area, this is the same ethics and rules, Gutti koyas, Lambadis, Backward Classes, follow the same path. It is a sad fact that tribal leader Satyavati Rathore should drive out the Gutti koya’s.

It is regrettable that Gutti koya’s are not recognized as citizens, forgetting the history that Lambadi’s were included in the ST list only after 1900. CPI and All India Rythu-Kuli Sangam are demanding that along with land rights, security of livelihood should be provided to the Gutti koya’s who have been given the right to live by the Indian Constitution.
