Nigerian businesswoman, May Edochie, has initiated the process of divorce from her husband, renowned actor Yul Edochie, with whom she shares three children. In a significant legal development, May, represented by Femi Falana and Eculaw Group, is seeking N100 million in damages from Yul and his second wife, Judy Austin, over allegations of adultery.

The DPA Family Law Clinic provided an update on the couple's marital crisis, confirming May's divorce proceedings and her demands for damages. The clinic also revealed that Judy and Yul have been informed of the legal action and have received copies of the lawsuit documents via email.

Amid the ongoing legal battle, it has been reported that both Yul and Judy are actively evading being served with the legal documents. Despite their public image, they appear to be unprepared for the legal challenges they are facing. The court bailiff has encountered difficulty in serving them, underscoring the seriousness of the legal situation.

May Edochie is also seeking a court order to prevent Yul from accessing their former matrimonial home, citing concerns for her safety. She alleged that Yul's behavior has been erratic, irrational, aggressive, and increasingly threatening. May voiced apprehensions that his conduct might be influenced by unknown factors, the full extent of which remains unclear.

One instance that May highlighted was security officials preventing Yul from entering their home, reflecting the complexity of their current situation. She asserted that all matters related to their marriage and dealings are under judicial consideration. May's actions stem from a desire to ensure her and her children's safety and security in the midst of this legal turmoil.
