President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday led President-elect, Bola Tinubu, on a brief tour of parts of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Both Buhari and Tinubu had observed their Friday prayers in the presidential villa mosque before checking out some departments that are key to the workings of the presidency.

Buhari walked him into the Council Chamber and out to the press gallery, where journalists had gathered to ask him final questions before his departure on Monday.


Before walking past the waiting media, the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP), Ambassador Lawal Kazaure, explained the functions of the press gallery to both leaders.

Remember that the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, did something similar on Thursday, taking the Vice-President-elect, Kashim Shettima, on a familiarisation tour of his office at the presidential palace in Abuja.
