Honda Cars India has unveiled a new teaser image of the Honda Elevate, their next small SUV. Honda has confirmed that their next product for India would be unveiled on June 6, 2023, and has also disclosed that the Honda Elevate will be fitted with a motorized sunroof in a new photograph released on social media.

The Honda Elevate, which will compete in the highly competitive small SUV class now dominated by the Hyundai Creta, is slated to hit the market in the coming months. Higher-end Elevate models are likely to include a sunroof, which is presently in strong demand, particularly at the luxury end of the market.

The Creta, for example, has a panoramic sunroof, whilst the Elevate looks to have a standard-size sunroof.  The Elevate, which was created in Honda’s Asia-Pacific R&D center, is likely to follow Honda’s worldwide design language for SUVs. Teasers and spy pictures have already revealed the Elevate’s hefty exterior and square-jawed front end.

The SUV will have split headlights (thin, wing-like LED daytime running lights on top and primary headlamp clusters recessed into the front bumper), a wide grille with horizontal slats, and a fake skid plate.

A prominent roof rail, squared-off wheel arch cladding, and darker alloy wheels will be among the other important design aspects. The Elevate‘s taillights will be joined by a light bar at the back, with the registration plate housing cut into the boot lid.

Honda Elevate Based On Honda City :

The Honda Elevate, which is likely to be 4.3-4.4 meters long and built on the same chassis as the City sedan, is slated to be equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine. Honda is also expected to offer the powerful hybrid system that debuted on the City with the Elevate, but a diesel engine is improbable.

A six-speed manual transmission and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) are planned to be available. The robust hybrid powertrain will be an important upgrade, allowing the Elevate to compete on an equal footing with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, both of which are available with a strong hybrid drivetrain.

It will also have to compete with the soon-to-be-released Citroen C3 Aircross, which offers an extra row of seats. Honda has prioritized high levels of localization.

This strategic pricing strategy by Honda is aimed at striking a balance between affordability and the inclusion of premium features, ensuring that customers get the best value for their money.

Whether it’s the lower end of the price spectrum or the higher end, the Elevate promises to deliver an exceptional driving experience, coupled with Honda’s renowned reliability and performance. With this competitive pricing, Honda aims to capture a significant market share and establish the Elevate as a preferred choice among SUV enthusiasts.
