Kesha Targets Diddy By Changing “Tik Tok” Lyrics During Coachella Performance

Kesha changed the lyrics of her debut single, “Tik Tok,” when she joined Reneé Rapp at the Coachella Valley. On Sunday, the 37-year-old singer was introduced on the stage to make a surprise appearance as a special guest.

The original lyrics of the 2009 chart-topping song are: “Wake up in the mornin’ feelin’ like P. Diddy/ Grab my glasses, I’m out the door, I’m gonna hit this city.”

“Tik Tok” secured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine weeks in early 2010.

Now that the famous rapper Sean Diddy Combs is accused of sexual assault, he has been the target of criticism from many industry insiders. Moreover, his residents were also raided by Homeland Security as part of the sex trafficking investigation.

On April 14, Kesha went on stage and took a dig at Diddy’s current situation. The new lyrics were, “Wake up in the mornin’ like, ‘F— P. Diddy.‘”

Kesha did not take back her comments and wrote the same on her social media account loud and clear.

She wrote on X on Sunday night,

During the performance, both Rapp and Kesha shouted at the same time and displayed their middle fingers.

Notably, this is not the first time that Diddy has received backlash from Kesha. Just a day after Diddy settled a lawsuit with Cassie Ventura, who accused him of raping her for more than a decade, Kesha changed the lyrics of the song.

While performing in Los Angeles for her Only Love tour in November 2023, Kesha sang the lyrics, “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.”

Over time, many other women accused Diddy of doing the same to them. In February of this year, music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones alleged that the rapper had harassed him as well.
