Since its debut in 2018, Car Masters has captured a wide spectrum of audiences across the globe. The crew at Gotham Garage is ready for another round of automotive makeover extravaganza. 

The show has achieved a unique and captivating blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and a passion for automobiles. Car Masters: Rust to Riches really stands out in Netflix’s reality programming. Over four seasons totalling 32 episodes, the show has been consistent in transporting audiences into the world of vehicle restoration and innovation.

This is not Netflix’s only reality TV show involving automobiles. They have flirted with shows like Rust Valley Restorers, Tex Mex Motors, and Fastest Car, but none quite reached the level of Car Masters. The show has a spectacular 8.4 IMDb rating and has appeared in Netflix’s top 10 lists across the globe.

The news of renewal of the show came through a social media response by host Mark Towle to one of the most pressing questions from the show’s fanbase. In his characteristic style, Towle declared, “Giant question being asked to me on Instagram. Is there a season 5? Yes, there’s a season 5 and yes, it’s coming out really, really soon.” The core cast  of the show including Mark Towle, Tony Quinones, Constance Nunes, Shawn Pilot, and the inimitable Michael “Caveman” Pyle, are all expected to return for the upcoming season.

The release date for the show is yet unannounced. There was an article claiming a July 24, 2024 release but that data was debunked. The rumor was initially spread by a site called WhenNetflix.com which is quite infamous for publishing fabricated news. We’ll have to wait for an official announcement before we can mark our calendars.
