The BYD Atto 3 electric SUV is slated to debut at the 2023 Auto Expo.

The Chinese automaker will enter the personal EV category in India with an SUV priced about Rs 30 lakh that competes with the MG ZS EV.

BYD (Build Your Dreams) is preparing to join the Indian passenger vehicle market with the Atto 3, which will be released in China in February 2022. The all-electric SUV is slated to be unveiled in January 2023 at the 2023 Auto Show.

The Atto 3 is offered in international markets with two battery packs – 49.92kWh and 60.48kWh – with WLTP ranges of 320km and 420km, respectively. The Atto 3 employs the firm’s unique Blade Battery Technology, which the company claims is considerably safer and more forgiving in adverse situations than existing battery technologies. Charging options include a 3-pin AC or Type-2 AC charger, as well as up to 80kW DC rapid charging, which is supposed to replenish the battery pack in under an hour.

What Is New in 2023 Kia EV6?

This year, the EV6 GT model occupies the top spot in the range, boasting 576 horsepower and an adjustable suspension. In our tests, a green button on the steering wheel unlocks the propulsion system’s maximum power, which we estimate will be adequate to propel the EV6 to 60 mph in as little as 3.2 seconds. Kia has added racier interior components to the GT’s cabin, such as sport seats and neon green trim, to go along with its improved performance. The larger battery increases the overall system output of the rear-drive EV6 to 225 horsepower. In Europe, we drove a GT-Line AWD and appreciated its responsive acceleration, quick handling, and customizable regenerative braking settings.

The 320-hp GT-Line variant recorded a 4.5-second zero-to-60-mph time on our test track. If maximum straight-line performance is important to you, the 576-hp GT will get you there in 3.2 seconds. The performance variant is at the top of the list and includes features like an electronic limited slip differential, stiffer chassis tuning, adaptive suspension, and beefier brakes.

Battery Life and Charging(2023 Kia EV6)-

The Kia EV6 has two battery sizes: 58.0 kWh and 77.4 kWh. Obviously, the larger one will have a greater driving range. The basic battery has an EPA-rated range of 232 miles, while the bigger, long-range battery has an EPA-rated range of up to 310 miles. If you choose the GT variant, the range lowers to a meagre 206 miles per charge despite having the bigger of the two batteries. On our 75-mph highway fuel efficiency route, we chose an all-wheel drive Wind model with the bigger battery pack standard and measured 230 miles of real-world highway driving range before the battery needed to be recharged.

Kia claims that the battery, which has an operational voltage of 800 volts, can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes when plugged into a 350-kW fast charger. We put this claim to the test and were satisfied with the results. This similar system is reported to add 70 miles in just 5 minutes. When connected to a Level 2 outlet, the 11-kW onboard charger is intended to recharge the battery from 10% to 100% in 7 hours.

Real-World MPGe and Fuel Economy(2023 Kia EV6)-
