By India Today Web Desk: Australia left-arm spinner Ashton Agar said that Adam Zampa, who tested positive for Covid-19, is feeling better and will play the T20 World Cup must-win match against England.

Zampa returned with a positive report hours ahead of Australia’s second match against Sri Lanka, which the defending champions won by seven wickets to bounce back in the tournament. Zampa missed the match after showcasing mild symptoms, according to a team spokesman.

Agar, who came in place of Zampa for the match against Sri Lanka, added that he has no expectations to feature in the must-win match against England as he is used to getting overlooked from the first choice playing XI.

“I assume Zamps will pull up well,” Agar was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au. “He was starting to feel better already so I’m sure he’ll play against England and I’ll just have to see what happens with me.

“I’ve become used to that, I’m pretty good at dealing with that now as much as I’d like to play every game, we’ve got a really good squad so I just keep moving forwards. I’ll be fine.”

The ICC rules for the T20 World Cup do not prevent players with Covid-19 to feature in the matches. Ireland’s George Dockrell played against Sri Lanka in spite being deemed potentially Covid-19 positive.

Agar, who played his first match since recovering from a second side strain, added that he had nerves ahead of his comeback match.

“It is hard, definitely. You want to play as much as you can. It’s harder when you have gaps and then you come back in and it’s like a whole Bukkry.com”>New experience again.
