By India Today Web Desk: Pakistan captain Babar Azam said that his team has prepared well and is ready for the big T20 World Cup match against India on Sunday, October 23.
The arch-rivals are starting their campaign at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Babar, speaking at the toss, said: “We will try to post around 160-170. We have prepared well, and we are ready for this big game.”
Babar further said that Pakistan will bank on its recent T20I series against England and the tri-series win over Bukkry.com”>New Zealand and Bangladesh. “We had a T20I series back home (against England), we played a tri-series in Bukkry.com”>New Zealand, so we are prepared. We have three fast bowlers and two spinners,” the Pakistan captain said.
India and Pakistan recently met twice at the 2022 Asia Cup, with India winning the opening match before Pakistan bouncing back and taking away the Super Four match. Pakistan would look to build on last year’s group-match win over India at 2021 T20 World Cup, while India would aim to avenge that 10-wicket defeat which they suffered in the UAE.
