The Best IPhone 13 Deals: Huge Savings At Apple, AT&T, And Verizon

Apple iPhone 13 deals offer a fantastic option if you're looking to save a bit of cash and don't mind skipping the latest and greatest. Not only can you find this device for $100 cheaper upfront at Apple these days ($699 in total), but several carriers are offering some absolutely fantastic promotions. We've rounded up all the best iPhone 13 deals just down below, including both major and prepaid carriers, so you can see for yourself how this week's offerings shape up to the latest iPhone 14 deals.

The iPhone 13 (opens in new tab) originally came at an introductory price of $799 at the time of its release in September 2021, but can now be found at a new price of $699 upfront thanks to the subsequent release of the new iPhone 14.

On the surface, it's strikingly similar to 2020's iPhone 12 with the same fetching 'squared-off' edges and a somewhat blocky aesthetic. That said, there are a number of high-end internal improvements that look to justify that fairly high introductory asking price.

First up is the inclusion of the Apple A15 Bionic chip; a hefty processor that's still one of the most powerful from the Cupertino giant. Screen, battery, and a number of camera improvements also mean you're not simply getting a carbon copy of the iPhone 12 here - it's quite simply a refinement of an already outstanding device with plenty more power under the hood.

With the iPhone 13 now sitting at $699 and the iPhone 12 still hanging around at $599, there are now a decent number of flagship options for Apple fans on a budget. Apple iPhone 13 deals in general are offering a nice sweet spot in regards to value currently, with a nice mix of features for the price. Just below you can see our top picks for this week's promotions, alongside a much more detailed breakdown of this device's specs and a handy mini-review.

iPhone 13: specs

OS: iOS 15Screen size: 6.1-inch Retina XDR (60Hz)Resolution: 2532 x 1170CPU: Apple A15Memory: N/AWeight: 174gStorage: 128 / 256 / 512GBBattery: N/ARear camera: 12MP wide, 12MP ultrawideFront camera: 12MP

At first glance, 2021's Apple flagship the iPhone 13 looks rather similar to its direct predecessor - the iPhone 12. All the iPhone 13 series (and 14 series) rock the same 'squared' off aesthetic as the 12-series from 2022 as well as the introductory price of $799, which is where Apple has generally settled at for its flagships,

That's where the similarities end, though. Key new features include an upgraded OLED display with up to 28% improved peak brightness, plus A15 Bionic processor - a chip that Apple claims has up to 50% faster performance than any competitor. Take that Samsung.

You'll also find a brand new diagonal rear camera system with an upgraded sensor and image stabilization on the iPhone 13. Supporting these improvements is a new 'Cinematic mode' for video capture - a very nifty little piece of software that uses computation for automatic and easy focus shifting.

A slightly less glamorous, but always welcome upgrade is in the iPhone 13's battery life. Not only does it have a bigger capacity now, but improvements via the new 'smart data' mode enable more efficient usage overall.

Overall, the iPhone 13 does have some very beefy upgrades under the hood versus the iPhone 12 and a newly reduced retail price of $699 makes it a very tempting option indeed. Even when paired up against the newer iPhone 14, it essentially features the same chip, screen, and overall design, which makes it a great buy in context. You'll have to do without improvements to the battery, camera, and a new satellite SOS system, however.

iPhone 13 deals: frequently asked questions

(Image credit: Apple) Should I go for the iPhone 13 or the iPhone 14?

Tough question, and one that depends solely on your eligibility for the above deals in our opinion. Are you sitting on an iPhone 12 that's due for an upgrade? Depending on the carrier you may be able to get a big trade-in rebate on the iPhone 14, in which case it obviously makes more sense to simply pick up the latest device.

Where things get murkier is with buying the device outright, or if you're going for a non-trade-in promotion at one of the big carriers. Now the iPhone 13 is $100 cheaper across the board and available with a more flexible array of promotions, it's a tempting option for those looking to save a bit of cash.

In this case, we'd recommend comparing the specs and features of each device and deciding whether the upgrade is worth it to you. In regards to power, screen, and overall design both devices are roughly equivalent. Where the iPhone 14 pulls ahead is with an upgraded camera and better battery life. If those are important to you, then it may be worth ponying up the extra $100 to get the later device.

  • The Best IPhone Deals Today (May 2023)

The Apple iPhone is indisputably the most popular smartphone on the market right now, and for good reason. It boasts unparalleled build quality, a gorgeous Retina display, the most powerful processor, the best smartphone camera, an easy-to-use OS, the largest selection of apps, compatibility with other equally well-engineered products like the AirPods and Apple Watches and more. The only downside really is that the newest generation Apple iPhone doesn't come cheap. It costs as much as or more than flagship smartphones from other brands. There are actually many ways to get an iPhone at a much lower price than MSRP, but most of it involves signing up for or extending a contract. There are, however, a few deals that come around once in while that allow you to get an iPhone without a plan.

If you're looking for an inexpensive iPhone and none of these deals interest you, then you might want to consider an iPhone with a low MSRP to begin with. Check out the cheapest iPhones to buy in 2023.

Differences Between the Newest iPhone 14 Models:

There are five current-gen Apple iPhone models: the iPhone SE (3rd Gen), iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Here's a quick roundup of the differences and you can also check out our recommendations on the best iPhones to buy in 2023. The iPhone 13 is a generation old but still available for purchase. That could save you some money compared to buying the newest generation. Check out our IGN iPhone 13 review.

    Apple iPhone SE (3rd Gen)

The iPhone SE is a compact phone that easily fits in most pockets. It features a smaller 4.7" Retina HD display that's Apple iPhone 14

This is the most basic of the iPhone 14 models but still a serious upgrade from the iPhone SE. The iPhone 14 boasts a 6.1" Super Retina XDR display and the A15 Bionic chip. It features a dual rear camera system in the form a 12MP main lens and a second ultra-wide lens.

    Apple iPhone 14 Plus

The Apple iPhone 14 Plus is almost identical to the iPhone 14 in specs, except for the larger 6.7" display and hence the bigger footprint. On a plus note that also means the battery life is a bit longer since the extra space affords a larger battery.

    Apple iPhone 14 Pro

The Apple iPhone 14 Pro features a higher resolution and brighter 6.1" Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology and the coveted Always-On feature. In addition, the CPU has been upgraded to an A16 Bionic chip. The biggest upgrade, however, is the triple rear camera system. It boasts a significantly enhanced 48MP main lens as well as a second ultra-wide lens and a third telephoto lens. Check out our IGN iPhone 14 Pro review.

    Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max

Like the 14 Plus is to the 14, the Pro Max is to the Pro. The specs are nearly identical, however the 14 Pro Max has been upgraded with an even larger 6.7" display.

The Best IPhone 13 Mini Deals For May 2023

We've rounded up all of this week's best iPhone 13 mini deals into one handy page right here for those looking to save some cash on a great palm-friendly device. While a little older now, iPhone 13 mini deals are still a decent choice - not least because the device still features a powerful chip, decent screen, and a price that's easy on the wallet. As of 2023, the device can be had for as little as $599 (was $699) upfront new thanks to the release of the latest iPhone 14 deals on the market.

This new price makes the iPhone 13 mini a very tempting option indeed and it's still the cheapest device in the range out of the four 13-series flagships. Don't discount it though - the inclusion of the Apple A15 Bionic processor makes it every bit as powerful as its bigger siblings. New camera upgrades and an upgraded, brighter screen means you're getting plenty of tech under the hood here - even if the overall aesthetic of the device is relatively unchanged from the previous iPhone 12 Mini.

Now it's no longer the latest device in the range, we're generally seeing the best iPhone 13 mini deals break away from the usual trade-in-focused promotions you find at the bigger carriers. In fact, Verizon is giving this device away for free right now without the need for a trade-in as long as you're willing to pick it up with an unlimited data plan. Prepaid options are also increasingly strong as the smaller carriers look to capitalize on the device's reduced upfront price.

If you'd like to read a bit more about this device, just below our roundup of this week's best iPhone 13 mini deals we've included a mini-review. You'll also find a full specs breakdown too, just in case you wanted to see how this small but mighty device measured up to the competition.

    OS: iOS 15Screen size: 5.4-inch Retina (60Hz)Resolution: 2340 x 1080CPU: Apple A15Memory: N/AWeight: 141gStorage: 128 / 256 / 512GBBattery: N/ARear camera: 12MP wide, 12MP ultrawideFront camera: 12MP

The iPhone 13 mini is the second generation 'palm-friendly' flagship from Apple and comes in at a rather wallet-pleasing $599 since the release of the iPhone 14. At launch, it retailed for $699 - which was the same as 2020's iPhone 12 mini. It's the cheapest flagship device in 2021's range.

Don't discount it though - even though it's cheaper (and slightly smaller), it's still rocking all the same important features as the standard iPhone 13. Specifically, an A15 Bionic chip, upgraded camera sensors, and brighter OLED display mean it still ranks up there with the most powerful devices on the market.

On the outside, the iPhone 13 mini looks almost identical to 2020's iPhone 12 mini. Small changes to the rear camera housing (now diagonally placed) and front camera housing (20% smaller) are key differences but otherwise, it's business as usual with its squared-off edges. As stated, it's inside that counts with the 13 mini - both with a new chip and a new screen, plus, with a beefier battery too.

As of writing, the iPhone 13 mini is the last 'small' form factor flagship from Apple. It's a fairly niche device that doesn't have much competition - save from the previous iPhone 12 mini. Overall, it's a fantastic option if you're looking to save a bit of cash and don't mind a smaller device - especially since it now retails for $599 post-iPhone 14 launch.
