Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated on 28th June this year, and this is the second Eid festival celebrated worldwide each year. It is also called the 'Festival of Sacrifice'. The day honours Ibrahim (also known as Abraham), who was ready to sacrifice his son following God's command. It is believed that the act was intervened by God and a lamb was sacrificed instead. On this festival, Muslims acknowledge Ibrahim's devotion and sacrifice a lamb, which is divided into three parts. One share is given to the poor and needy. The second share is for relatives and the last share is kept for home.
Every year, it is celebrated on the 10th day of the final month of the Islamic calendar. It is the most sacred month of the Islamic year. To celebrate this festival, send your friends meaningful greeting cards and messages: E-Embrace with open heart
