Matthew Mcconaughey and Camila Alves are one of the most notoriously low-key Hollywood power couples.
The pair met when the "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" actor was at the peak of his rom-com fame and Alves was a model living in Los Angeles.
From the moment McConaughey laid eyes on her, he never wanted to look at "any other woman."
The A-lister stayed true to his word, welcoming three children with the Brazil native, and officially tying the knot in 2012.

Matthew and Camila meet at a Los Angeles club
McConaughey and Alves had immediate chemistry when they met for the first time at West Hollywood nightclub Hyde in 2006
"She showed up, and she moved right to left in front of my eyes across that club," the actor, who was on a night out with Lance Armstrong, told People in 2020.
"It was as if she was floating. And I did not say, 'Who is that?' I said, 'What is that?' And then introduced myself. Since that evening, I have not wanted to spend time with any other woman."
Alves, however, said their first meeting wasn't quite as magical from her perspective.
"We had two interactions at the bar," she recalled. "The first interaction, I did not know who he was … He was all covered up and I didn't really realize who he was."
Later that night, the Texas native convinced his future wife to come home with him — but she insisted on sleeping in a guest bedroom.
"That's a woman who knows herself. … There [was] no walk of shame," McConaughey said.
The pair went on their first date three nights later.
They confirmed their relationship after one year of dating
McConaughey and Alves kept their relationship under wraps for about a year before making their romance public.
They confirmed they were dating in October 2007, and sources told People that Alves travelled with him to Australia, where he filmed "Fool's Gold," along with the Bahamas, where he shot "Surfer, Dude."
"She likes roughing it," an insider told the outlet. "She doesn't complain when they go hiking for 10 days without clean clothes or a shower."

The pair made their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of "Fool's Gold" in January 2008, where Alves stunned in a black gown.
She later recalled feeling "so nervous" in a throwback Instagram post.
"We had already been dating for a while and I had been to movie premieres with him but always sneaking in thru the back to keep our privacy," Alves wrote.
"This was the first time going 'here we go' the minute I stepped into the carpet the WIND picked up like crazy and this flowing knee length dress pretty quickly became crotch high! I laugh the whole way because if you can't fix it may as well laugh right!!"
The pair welcomed their first baby
McConaughey and Alves became parents in July 2008 when they welcomed their son Levi.
"Camila and I were side-by-side the entire time," the "Dazed and Confused" actor said in a statement at the time.
"We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world — having a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventure — raising one, together."
Baby No. 2
The family of three became four when Alves gave birth to their second child, daughter Vida.
"'Vida' is Portuguese for 'life' and that's what God gave us this morning," McConaughey wrote in a January 2010 blog post.
"Camila's recovering wonderfully and we are both truly honored to welcome this little lady into our family. Thanks for all of your well wishes and prayers along the way, another blessed day, we give thanks."
Matthew proposes on Christmas Day
On Dec. 25, 2011, the "Magic Mike" star finally popped the question after five years of dating.
"Just asked Camila to marry me," the actor announced. "Merry Christmas!"
McConaughey later recalled that his family were concerned Alves wasn't going to accept.
"I remember her having to catch her breath," he told Esquire in 2016. "And she didn't say yes right away. And then the whole family was going, 'Jeezus, she's gonna say no.'"
Years later, Alves revealed that the A-lister's mom, Mary McCabe, put her through the wringer before fully accepting her into the McConaughey clan.
"She did all these things when I first came in the picture, right? She was really testing me," Alves recalled on the "Southern Living's Biscuits & Jam" podcast in 2023.
"I mean, really testing me. She would call me by all of Matthew's ex-girlfriends' names, she would start speaking Spanish with me in a very broken way, kind of putting [me] down a bit. I mean, all kinds of stuff," she went on.
However, everything changed on a trip to Turkey where Alves playfully explained that she realized her future mother-in-law was "full of s—t."
"So I just flip it on her and brought my spicy Brazilian, Latin side, and I let her have it," she recalled. "So I went back at her, and we had it back and forth, back and forth. And then at the end, she just looked at me and she was like, 'OK. Now you're in.'"
The couple tie the knot
McConaughey and Alves said "I do" on June 9, 2012.
They tied the knot in a celebration that spanned three days at their home in Austin, Texas, where guests included Reese Witherspoon, Kenny Chesney and Woody Harrelson.
McConaughey looked dapper in a Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo, while Alves stunned in a pair of Stuart Weitzman heels and a custom gown by Brazilian designer Ducarmo Castelo Branco.
The pair's young children, Levi and Vida, served as ring bearer and flower girl, respectively.
"[They] seem to understand what we are doing on a spiritual level," Alves told People following the nuptials.
McConaughey chimed in, "We decided to embrace the ritual of marriage as an opportunity and adventure we'll take together."
During an appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," the "Interstellar" actor said they put 40 tents in their backyard for the big day.
"She said, 'I want to build a village. I want all of our friends and family to come here, stay for three full days, have an experience with us, so they can really remember this weekend,'" he explained.
Matthew and Camila welcome their third child
Six months after tying the knot, the couple added another member to the McConaughey clan.
Baby Livingston was born on Dec. 28, 2012.
"Camila gave birth to our third child yesterday morning. Our son, Livingston Alves McConaughey was born at 7:43 a.m. on 12.28.12. He greeted the world at 9lbs. and 21 inches," McConaughey tweeted, per CBS News.
"Bless up and thank you for your well wishes. Happy New year, and just keep livin."
Camila becomes a U.S. citizen
Alves became a US citizen in 2015.
"Congratulations Camila on getting your U.S. citizenship today – another fellow and great American," McConaughey wrote alongside a snap of the couple with their three kids, which he posted to Facebook.
Meanwhile, Alves tweeted, "Happy to say I now hold an American passport! I have so much respect and appreciation for this country."
