A veteran American Ninja Warrior contestant was allegedly shamed by a Southwest Airlines flight attendant for wearing an "inappropriate" outfit.
Maggi Thorne, a seven-time American Ninja Warrior contestant, was wearing high-waisted Nike joggers and a black crop top aboard Flight 1039 when she said a Southwest flight attendant asked her to cover up.
"@SouthwestAir attendant just shamed me in front of passengers saying my attire wasn't appropriate," Thorne wrote Friday on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Is this really happening in 2023? The passengers around me were stunned as she shamed me for all to hear."
Thorne believes there was nothing wrong with her outfit, and that the flight attendant had stepped out of line given that Southwest does not have any formal clothing policy, only prohibiting "clothes that are lewd, obscene, or patently offensive."
