Trendy And Chic Spring Fashion Finds With Zaful

Hi loves! Today I'm teaming up Zaful to share my favorite spring fashion finds! I feel fashion is a way for you to show off your personal style, your personality, a way to embrace your body. Honestly, it's a representation of who you are. I'll be showing you a couple of new pieces

First a little back story, I get comments and messages all the time from people stating they love my style, asking where I shop, or even to try their own clothing. I never once thought to expand my blog into fashion because honestly, I'm literally changing clothes like people drink water.

In middle school, I was all about the Brazilian jeans and tight shirts with the big hoop earrings. In high school, I was into the preppy, cool, Abercrombie and Fitch polished look and didn't own anything else. When I started dancing, I wanted to look like the girls of the 2002-2008 hip-hop era music videos. In college, I just wanted to follow all the trends the celebrities wear. As you can tell I'm constantly changing my style and it's always evolving to whatever I felt was cool during the time.

Fashion Style Now

Now, I honestly just follow my heart. I like to experiment with clothes and try different things. Something I never thought I would wear, is something I want to try and see how it looks on me first before completely saying no! I've taken risks with some of my tops and tend to overdress a lot. My motto is "I would rather always be overdressed then underdressed." I also love to dress up my style with an amazing pair of heels and bold makeup.

Fashion inspiration? Go-to fashion Instagram account? My style icon is none other than the stunning Olivia Culpo, not because I want to emulate everything she wears (which I think we ALL do, but let's be honest we all don't have her budget) but because she is always willing to takes risks, try something new, and just rock whatever she has on.

Spring Cleaning

With the season of Spring comes one of my favorite things to do. Which is literally to go through my entire closet and get rid of all the clothes I just don't wear anymore. I've done this activity literally every year and either donated my old clothes or send them to my family in Peru and it's so refreshing.

I love getting rid of the "old and not me anymore" clothes and buying new clothes to experiment with. With that, I know, doesn't that get expensive? The answer, honestly, is NO. Today I'll be sharing my spring fashion finds from Zaful that I'm excited to try. Zaful is an amazing company with great styles at such an AFFORDABLE prices!

A smocked Belted High Waisted Short in a Wine Red. The reason I love this is because I'm only 5' and when I wear a cute high-waisted short with heels, it makes my legs look longer. It's priced at $14.99 right now, which is also such a deal. This would make a great outfit for any brunch or even for date night. Add some gold accessories and heels, and you'll be catching hearts all night.

A Floral Print Plunge Cami Romper. Romper's are usually hard for me because I have such a small torso in height. They tend to make me look more square than anything. This romper though has a tie in the front that can show off your curves better. The print is amazing and floral is so in right now but it is not to overpowering of a print either. What I love about this romper is that you can literally rock it with a pair of heels to dress it up. OR be super casual and put on some flats or sandals. It is only $17.99 too!

This next piece is definitely different for me. It is a Floral Crop Top and Lace Trim High Waisted Shorts. I don't really wear much statement prints like this just because I feel I just look silly in them. This piece, however, is very tropical for my travels and South Florida living lifestyle. It is a bit of a showstopper because of the plunging neckline and bow tied back. Giving it the edginess and sex appeal I like. The lace trim adds a girly feel to it and keeps it classy and it is only $15.99 so talk about a steal.

Next is a basic staple every working #girlboss should have in their closet. It is a Knotted Striped Pockets Dip Hem Shirt and cost $16.52. It's a take on the classic button up look. I run a lot of errands on the weekend. This allows you to look trendy, like the amazing girl boss you are, and a go-getter all in one. Add a cute pair of white shorts or jeans with cute flats and you'll look like you mean business. It's also super cute for the occasional business lunch or meeting paired with wedges or strappy heels.

Here's where my edgy/wild side comes out. I'm literally in LOVE with this black Cami Scalloped Lace Tank Top retailed at $16.99. It is the perfect mix of class with sex appeal every woman wants to be. Black is my SIGNATURE color. You can add this top with the Red Wine High Waisted Shorts in the beginning for a perfect date night outfit or wear it with white pants and off to a fabulous brunch you go.

Like I said in the beginning, I love to be comfortable in my style. This white Off the Shoulder Lantern Sleeve Pullover Sweater priced at $26.91 is the perfect combination for me of style and comfort. I love grabbing dinner with my girls on a Friday/Saturday night. Sometimes we just LITERALLY want to eat, drink wine, and gossip about our lives and boys. This sweater is the perfect option to just go out and grab dinner, drinks, gossip and still be fashionable without putting much effort. The off the shoulder look with a good pair of skinny jeans and heels will give you a sexy look but still comfortable. Wine not included though* (ha-ha)

The next piece is a Mid Waist Lace Up Ripped Denim Short. It is perfect for the beach, pool, or walking around on the broad walk or shore. If you're planning a tropical getaway this better be in your suitcase. Living in South Florida, shorts are a must. The lace up detailing is adjustable so you can pick to be a bit daring or more tamed with your look. Going out on the boat? You're sure to make a statement with these and only for $21.68 it's a steal.

Here's another favorite of mine the black and white Striped Wide Leg Shorts with Tie Belt. It is priced at $10.99 need I say MORE!!! The reason I love these pair of shorts is because the striped are actually vertical so for all my short/petite girls like me you KNOW what this means! The vertical stripes actually help create the illusion of a longer leg plus the stripes give a cute but professional look for any work event or lunch you may have coming up.

This next piece is the Front Pockets Draped Coat. I personally love it in Pink or Army Green, but Zaful has other colors as well and only for $31.21! The coat is a professional touch to let's say a black lace tank top I showed earlier with a pair of white jeans or shorts for a date night or going to the movies. You can literally wear this with anything. My recommendation is if you are petite like me, to wear it with heels or hem it to fit you properly and not look too long on you.

My last piece is a White Cami Satin Cropped Tank top. It does come in black too ladies! It is priced at $15.99 and as much as I LOVE black I also LOVE white. Mostly because white give my olive skin tone a darker look to it. For all my Latinas, it makes you look tanner than you really are. I love this basic crop top! It is so versatile. You can pair it with the Red Wine high waisted shorts or the Black and White Striped Shorts, jeans and I could keep going. The satin gives off the classy look while still being cute and flirty.

The Companies Trying To Make Live Shopping A Thing In The U.S.

On a warm spring evening in New York, dozens of people gathered on a rooftop in Midtown Manhattan to sip fruity cocktails and chat. Shortly after the happy hour began, a woman stepped away from the crowd and went to work.

Standing between a backdrop of fake greenery and an iPhone attached to a ring light, she put on an auctioneer's voice and implored her audience to buy a used sweater.

"Let's get this to $67, you guys," Iva Lazovic said, smiling and stepping toward the camera. "This is so cute. It's Lululemon. You are never getting it lower than this at the store. Let's be real. Posh has the steals and deals."

Ms. Lazovic was one of several women at the event who hopped in front of the phone to sell their wares on Posh Shows, Poshmark's new livestreaming platform, the first significant business strategy the company has unveiled since the South Korean juggernaut Naver acquired it last fall.

Poshmark is one of many companies racing to break into the United States' nascent live shopping market, which is estimated to bring in $32 billion in sales this year, according to the retail consulting firm Coresight Research. Eying the live shopping market in China, which, by comparison, is projected to bring in $647 billion this year, American companies have for years poured money into the medium, where people buy and sell products in real time over video. But American consumers have yet to take to live shopping in the same way.

In 2016, the e-commerce giant Alibaba launched Taobao Live, popularizing live shopping in China. The livestream landscape is much more fragmented in the United States, but even as shoppers return to stores, retailers and large tech firms are betting that consumers will continue searching for, and purchasing, items on their phones. For platforms, live shopping promises more engagement, with consumers sometimes spending hours watching hosts sell items. For retailers, it's another channel to sell their goods.

Alongside Poshmark, QVC's parent company Qurate recently started Sune, a live shopping app targeting Gen Z. Last year, Walmart, YouTube and eBay added or expanded their live shopping features. For Prime Day, Amazon recruited celebrities like Kevin Hart to promote its Amazon Live platform. Shein was an early adopter when it began Shein Live in 2016 for U.S. Shoppers. It started with just a few hundred viewers per episode and now averages "hundreds of thousands of viewers per episode," said George Chiao, Shein's U.S. President, in a statement.

"There's just an insane level of excitement that we have seen," said Manish Chandra, the chief executive of Poshmark, at the rooftop event. "In a very few short months, they're proving that this form of live shopping works," he added, referring to Posh Shows sellers like Ms. Lazovic.

As big tech and major retailers work to gain a foothold in live shopping, start-ups like Whatnot and Ntwrk are touting their tight-knit customer communities as a blueprint for live shopping in the United States. Investors poured more than $380 million into livestream e-commerce companies in the United States last year, up from $36 million in 2020, according to PitchBook.

"We believe shopping is not just about transaction. It's about experience," said Liyia Wu, chief executive and founder of the live shopping start-up ShopShops. Live shopping can simulate "an offline shopping experience online," she added.

ShopShops in 2021 began focusing on American consumers instead of Chinese ones because it saw more opportunity in the American retail market, Ms. Wu said. Because big players haven't yet defined live shopping in the United States, ShopShops and other newcomers could "build the overall behavior," she added.

For some viewers, live shopping has taken the place of malls and morning cable shows. AJ Johnson, a lifestyle blogger in Scottsdale, Ariz., watches livestreams on ShopShops most days of the week, but her favorite show streams at 6 a.M. On Wednesdays.

The app is more than a place to shop for clothing and jewelry, she said. Ms. Johnson, 36, has found entertainment and community on ShopShops through talking to hosts and other shoppers about their lives.

"Some people play video games. I just watch livestream shopping," Ms. Johnson said. "It's like an escape."

But live shopping faces stiff competition in the United States, where linear TV, streaming channels and social media also vie for consumers' attention and money. Last year, 78 percent of American adults said they had never participated in a live shopping event, according to a survey by Morning Consult.

Some American companies have already backed out of live shopping. Meta made a major push into e-commerce at the beginning of the pandemic but shut down Instagram's live shopping feature this March, and Facebook's in October.

Other companies are making much slower entrances into live shopping. Since November, TikTok has been testing its live shopping tool, TikTok Shop, in the United States. It is betting that users will stay on TikTok to watch merchants — both big brands like the beauty line e.L.F. And the California apparel company PacSun, as well as small business owners — share their products and then purchase the goods through the app.

But the rollout of TikTok Shop has dragged in the United States. The feature has been available in parts of Southeast Asia for more than a year, and Douyin, TikTok's Chinese counterpart, has offered live shopping since 2018.

In the United States, TikTok is facing intense criticism from lawmakers and regulators. More than two dozens states have banned the app on government devices. And in April, Montana legislators approved a bill to block TikTok in the state, a first-of-its-kind prohibition.

TikTok declined to say when TikTok Shop would become widely available in the United States.

Companies have taken different approaches to working with hosts. On Poshmark, anyone with an account can sell items from their closets. Other platforms work directly with the merchants, as is the case with Amazon, which uses celebrities and influencers to sell a variety of products, like printers and kitchenware.

For Paige DeSorbo, a podcaster and influencer on the Bravo reality series "Summer House," hosting her own show on Amazon Live allows her followers to see a "totally different" side of her personality.

"People trust me on certain things, so they want my opinion on whether it's fashion or beauty," she said. "When I'm talking to them on live, I do feel like it's more, we're friends."

Ms. DeSorbo, 30, has hosted her show weekly since the end of 2021, typically filming episodes with two camera operators, one set designer and at least one producer. She receives a flat hosting fee from Amazon and commissions when people buy products featured on her Amazon page, or during her streams.

During a recent livestream, Ms. DeSorbo recreated outfits she had shared on social media. As she tried on "dupes"— fashion lingo for knockoff versions of expensive items — for her outfits, she answered viewers' questions about what to wear to events like comedy shows and summer vacations.

"It's like talking to the wizard behind the curtain," one of her more than 500 viewers commented, as Ms. DeSorbo talked about a recent trip with other reality TV cast members.

Companies will need to teach hosts how to clinch sales and speak directly to shoppers, a worthwhile investment, especially for the hosts, said Deborah Weinswig, founder of Coresight Research. In China, companies originally hired sellers to boost particular brands. Those sellers then went on to build their own audiences, drawing shoppers and eventually gaining enough agency to choose their own products and brands.

"The biggest misunderstanding was that celebrities were who were going to be driving this industry," Ms. Weinswig said. "That's why I think we in the U.S. Got derailed because you being a celebrity or you being a creator — you are not necessarily going to be a good host."

Posh Shows isn't focused on celebrity hosts. Instead, anyone with a Poshmark account can go live — including Alex Mahl, who works full time at an attorney's office and streams live on Posh Shows for hours after work.

Ms. Mahl, 26, spends about 40 hours a week on her side hustle, including hours of prepping mostly Lululemon clothes to sell, and uploading photos of them to the Poshmark app, where viewers can see the items throughout the show. She had sold more than $50,000 worth of inventory by early May, and estimates that she will earn $200,000 in sales by the end of the year.

Ms. Mahl has considered making this her primary job but remains cautious. She received early access to Posh Shows and is keeping an eye on her viewer count as more users go live. On a recent Monday evening, Ms. Mahl competed with dozens of other sellers, including a mother with a baby strapped on her back selling New York & Company dresses for $8, and a man selling a Louis Vuitton wallet with a starting price of $475.

"Am I nervous that more people have access? Yes, I am," Ms. Mahl said. "But I'm confident in myself and what I've built for it to continue to go up in a good direction."
