This One Regency In Bali Has The Most To Offer Tourists - The Bali Sun

Bali is one of over seventeen thousand islands that make up the archipelago nation that is Indonesia. The county is governed by thirty-eight provinces, of which Bali is one.

The island itself has then divided once again into nine different regencies, of which just one has a huge amount more to offer tourists than any other.

Bali is home to nine regencies, Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, Tabanan, Klungkung, Karangasem, Jembrana, Buleleng, and Bangli.

Each is home to wonderful cultural gems and stunning landscapes for tourists to explore. But it is Badung Regency that has, by far, the most to offer tourists.

Questions have been raised over the last few weeks about the impact that a crackdown on badly behaved tourists will have on the tourism sector.

The Head of Destinations for the Badung Bali Tourism Office, Made Sukayasa, told reporters that despite fears that travelers may be put off traveling to Bali in light of new rules and behavioral guidelines, tourists are still heading to Badung's leading destinations en masse.

Sukayasa said he and his teams are working to honor the new guidelines and rules as outlined in Governor Koster's Circular Letter Number 4 of 2023.

He explained, "It has been implemented since the issuance of the new regulation. There is no decrease in the number of tourists to Badung. This is the normal norm, so when tourists come, they must follow local wisdom."

He said, "The hope is that when tourists come to Bali, especially in Badung, because there is local wisdom, arts, and culture involved, ethics must be maintained. As well as maintaining a positive image of Bali as the world's main tourist destination."

Kuta Beach

Kuta Beach is the original tourist designation in Bali. Still considered to be one of the best places in the world to learn to surf, the tourist resort of Kuta has everything you could need for a classic beach vacation.

Home to dozens of internationally known hotel brands, western and local restaurants, plenty of bars, shops, and entertainment venues, come rain or shine, Kuta is a great family-friendly destination.

In fact, many have observed Kuta to be quieter than it once as areas like Canggu and Semibyak become increasingly trendy, leaving Kuta to be a chilled-out retreat for sun-loving travelers.

Legian

Legian Beach is synonymous with backpackers, bars, and lazy beach days.

The town itself generally attracts the younger crowds; Legian offers tourists a budget-friendly beachside vacation with plenty of nightlife and opportunities to socialize with like-minded wanderers from all around the world.

There are big resort hotels offering the perfect place for an all-inclusive getaway.

Nestled between family-friendly Kuta and bougie Seminyak, Legian offers a middle-ground for tourists who want to experience the best of Bali's southern beach resorts.

Seminyak

Chic and stylish, it seems that Seminyak never goes out of fashion.

Great for couples and groups of friends, there is plenty of luxury accommodation in Seminyak, especially private villas, and a great range of fine dining establishments, beach clubs, and classy nightlife venues.

The resort area of Seminyak includes Seminyak Beach itself, Double Six Beach, and Petitenget Beach.

Canggu

Canggu is easily the most popular destination in Bali right now. The area has undergone a huge tourism redevelopment, and everything feels shiny and new.

Beach clubs, cafes, restaurants, and bars are open from the early hours until late at night, and there is always a party to be had.

Canggu is great for beach lovers who want to experience a little more challenging surf and enjoy sipping cocktails as the sun goes down.

Uluwatu

Uluwatu is hot on the heels of Canggu in terms of tourism development and popularity.

Located at the very tip of the Bukit Peninsula, Uluwatu is famous for its dramatic coastal vistas, challenging surf, luxurious beach clubs and stunning private villas.

A real beach lovers' playground!

Jimbaran

Jimbaran showcases travelers with a real glimpse at coastal life in Bali. A unique and thriving fishing village, Jimbaran Beach is known for its seafood restaurants and shoreline sunset suppers.

Perfect for family holidays or those who don't want to have to travel far once they land in Bali.

Jimbaran is just a 20-minute drive from the airport and makes for a great launchpad for day trips around the rest of the island.

Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is home to Bali's most luxurious hotels and resorts. Nestled on the eastern side of the Bukit Peninsula,

Nusa Dua is known for its pristine white sandy beaches, gentle waves, and lots of sunshine. There is a thriving culinary scene in Nusa Dua that has foodies from all over the world flying in and reserving their tables way ahead of time.

Nusa Dua is ideal for honeymoon couples or the blow-the-budget once-in-a-lifetime kind of holiday.
