For America, reportedly the former US ambassador to RI Joseph Donovan met in person with the Minister of Terawan before Donovan ended his term of office on 14 February.

A spokesman for the US Embassy did not dispute Donovan's concern over the threat of corona in Indonesia and his meeting with Terawan to emphasize the anticipation of this dangerous virus.

"We regularly meet with Indonesian government officials on various topics related to our bilateral relations for more than 70 years. In addition, Saudi Arabia even included Indonesia in the list of countries affected by Corona. So that Indonesian citizens are prohibited from entering the country using a tourist visa.

Meanwhile, WHO Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, called on all countries to be alert to corona.

"No country can feel safe, it's very fatal. This virus has the potential to become a pandemic," said Ghebreyesus, as reported by Reuters on Friday (2/28/2020).

He said this virus did not distinguish between race or ethnicity. Even the level of income and the economy of one country and another.
