There are currently 49 heroes in Magic Chess MLBB as of June 4, 2020. There are 10 roles: Weapon Master, Targeman, Marksman, Elementalist, Mage, Guardian, Summoner, Support, Wrestlers, and Assassins. And it was composed of several factions: Elf, Western Dessert, The Eruditio, Cyborg, Scarlet Shadows, Dragons Altar, Monastery of Light, Northern Vale, Abyss, Celestial, Empire, Undead, Blood Demon, and Special Guest.

Synergy is the most important part of the entire Magic Chess mode as it can lead you to victory if done strategically. Synergy is subdivided into two, the Role and the Faction. Most units have one designated Role and Faction, with some exceptions having a total of three synergies altogether.

Apart from different types of synergies, you have to delegate the random items you obtain while also taking care of the specific position of each Hero on the battlefield. In addition, you can increase your gold income by economizing or going on winning or in losing streak condition.

In the end, you have to eliminate the other competing players by reducing the Health Points of the commander to 0. Depending on your placement you'll receive a certain amount of Rank points after the game. The rank will start in Warrior 5, then you can rank up to Mythic similar to the Mobile Legends Ranking system.

You must be so strategic about the synergy and how to counter others players synergy at the same time while collecting money to upgrade your heroes until 3 stars. The limit of lineup can be up to 9 heroes in one lineup. The money can be use to buy heroes, upgrade heroes, and upgrade lineup. So be strategic and don't waste the money too soon.

Don't forget to buy the right items for your heroes to use. Similar to Chess-TD, you can equip your Heroes with purchased items. However, the only way to obtain items is by defeating monsters/creeps (that you automatically encounter every couple of rounds) or through Fate Box.

The Fate Box will reopen every couple of rounds (it will display in-game) and provides a sort of items and (high-cost) units that are generated randomly. The commander with the lowest HP left gets to choose first, the one with the highest remaining HP will be the last one. Therefore it does make sense to economize heavily during the first few rounds to secure the first pick in the first Fate Box. You will be guaranteed to get the best pick item, and probably getting a crucial late-game unit for your synergy or a powerful item to boost your carries. You can also gain a specific item for your commander that allows you to place an additional unit without levelling up (using money). So beware and choose wisely.
