No Nigerian needs a N15M master’s degree in the UK, it’s too expensive – UK-based Nigerian YouTuber Emdee Tiamiyu (Video)

UK-based Nigerian YouTuber, Emdee Tiamiyu disclosed that no Nigeria needs a N15M master’s degree in the UK adding that it’s too expensive.

Vlogger Tiamiyu, a Yoruba man who hails from Osun-State has been one of the trending conversations online after he claimed many people leaving Nigeria for the UK are doing so not because of new qualifications but for greener pastures in an interview he had with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

He said, “The student route is more like an answered prayer. It is a big bracket that’s able to take a lot of people, the ordinary people.

In another video, Tiamiyu who is known for advising Nigerians on studying in the United Kingdom further exposed Nigerian traveling abroad for master’s degree.

He said;  “No Nigerian needs a £15k (N15Million) masters degree in the UK it’s too expensive, Most Nigerians can’t afford it Only rich Nigerians can afford it and they are few. Also there are cheaper Masters degrees back in Nigerian Universities ie Ibadan Uni, Most Nigerians in the UK have lost link to their cultural heritage, our language is lost, most Nigerians are now giving birth to Oyinbo children, Most Nigerians also lie on their CV and student application visa just to travel to the UK and they sell off their Cars and properties just to raise money to Japa abroad.”

lapeppocosmetologyhairschoo: Look personally i am not a fan of living abroad I have said this over and over again, I love living in Nigeria, I only travel for holidays and come back, I am one of those who believe so much in this country and pray it gets better . … but you see, I know a lot of people who are doing so well living abroad and most sold their properties before they left. infact someone I know just left the country about 3months ago with his family, man and wife got good jobs, kids are in school and No they weren’t Rich before they left. they struggled to leave this country … the man has already started sending money home not talking small money here … This was some one that could hardly feed in Abuja … My point is Some people’s destinies are tied abroad . you have No right to make a choice for anyone . snitching on ur own people like that is very bad … Besides are we saying the Uk governments don’t have all these informations already??

i_lotus.ceo:  I honestly don’t know why every body attacking this guy. He is actually saying the truth, you need to see how Nigerians are suffering in UK. Does it really worth it? After selling your house and other valuables to move your self, wife and kids to the UK thinking you have japa from hardship, omo, it’s like from frypan to fire. The suffering is too much. Working from hand to mouth. You do all kind of menial job to get paid to pay tuition fee, feed yourself and family and also pay your rent monthly, it’s hard to survive there. It has even caused so many issues between husband and wives as the high expectation is nothing to recon with. Think oh!

evlyn_sylvester: I watched qn interview by one handsome doctor emeka okorocha who was asked the exact question this emdee was asked and trust me. U would see the difference btwn an igbo and yoruba man.

gylliananthonette:  To think he went as a dependent …If any country japa the most, it is the Indians but they are so united.

homeoflafta:  It’s well we go fine another country since this update don cast.

i_agulanna: Sometimes I don’t understand Nigerians, so y’all think UK Govt is just finding out that you’re not migrating because of school alone? News flash!. Their leaders are not as ignorant as our leaders. If they didn’t find Nigerians and migrants useful, they would have stopped you From migrating if you like be the most brilliant human being on earth. They have the best technology and immigration laws out there and you think one isolated interview opened their eyes. Blame our government for not developing our country bcoz the truth is most people don’t even Want to migrate. They do because of the condition in Nigeria. Yet again we look at things the wrong way and blame the wrong people.
