Pete Edochie was born in the Nigerian city of Zaria, Kaduna State. He turned 70 in 2017, and despite having lived “three scores and ten” years, he claims to be in good health.

He received his primary education at St. Patrick’s and St. James Primary Schools in Zaria. He then attended St. John’s College for his secondary education.

He was the Director of Programs, but he also served as Deputy Managing Director and, on occasion, as Managing Director.

He left ABS when the government attempted to politicize the activities of their FM station, forcing the entire management team to resign, including him.

He was supposed to be the MD’s immediate successor, but he had to quit to pursue a career in the film industry.
