Why winning ODI series against WI not benefit Team India in WC Super League?

The Indian cricket team, being the hosts of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, received an automatic qualification for the marquee round of the tournament and also stand as one of the top ten teams in the Super League standings. However, winning the Odi Series against Windies won’t benefit the team in the Super League points table. Here is why:

• India vs West Indies ODI series is not a part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
• All the ten teams of the World Cup 2023 are already decided and Windies are not part of the tournament and were knocked out in the qualifiers round.
• Each team has already played its quota of 24 matches and the new cycle of the ODI Super League will begin in 2024.
