World Tennis League: here are the new details

World Tennis League will take place from 19th to 24th December 2022 in the splendid setting of Dubai. A team exhibition tournament that will be the destination of many top athletes to prepare for the start of the 2023 season in the ATP and WTA Tours.

There is already a lot of curiosity about this event that will keep the fans and professionals a little busy during the year-end break, which will also grant the athletes a well-deserved rest after a really demanding and tiring year.

Among the participants in the event will be the champion of 21 Grand Slam titles Novak Djokovic, who has given his willingness to take part in the initiative. The Hawks team, composed of Sascha Zverev, Dominic Thiem, Anett Kontaveit and Elena Rybakina (winner of the 2022 edition of Wimbledon), will absolutely not want to be outdone. The Polish number one in the world Iga Swiatek will be the main representative of the Kites team, also formed by Auger-Aliassime, Gael Monfils, Sania Mirza and Genie Bouchard.

Seppi will instead defend the colors of the Eagles, with Rohan Bopanna, Australian Nick Kyrgios, French Caroline Garcia (recently winner of the WTA Finals), and Bianca Andreescu. The final between the two best teams is scheduled for December 24th, who will compete among other things in the previous days.

Journalist Reem Abulleil has released the complete list of players who will take part in this exhibition. In the women’s field we find Iga Swiatek, Anett Kontaveit, Paola Badosa, Aryna Sabalenka, Simona Halep, Elena Rybakina, Bianca Andreescu and Sanya Mirza.

On the male side, the names of Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Dominic Thiem, Grigor Dimitrov, Gael Monfils, Nick Kyrgios and Rohan Bopanna stand out. A star-studded exhibition that promises to make the days leading up to Christmas electrifying.
