Our 2023 ATP Montpellier Open Predictions & Picks

Playing on home soil can have a major advantage and the Montpellier Open reinforces this point. The French players have had the most success in this event.

But in the past two years that hegemony has been broken. Last year Bublik won the tournament against the odds, beating Zverev in the final.

While we do not envisage a shock winner of such magnitude this time around, there are still some interesting names who could buck that trend.

Quentin Halys has never won an ATP title or even reached an ATP final before. But he has started the year playing top-tier tennis. Even Novak Djokovic applauded Halys’ efforts in their match in Adelaide last month. He’s definitely a name that could surprise in Montpellier.

Aside from Halys, Lorenzo Sonego is another player who tends to hit a purple patch on indoor hard courts. The Italian won in Metz last year, beating a long list of high-caliber opponents. These two are worth backing as outsiders to win in Montpellier.

The usual suspects here will be Holger Rune, Jannik Sinner, and Borna Coric who make up the top-3 seeds. Rune won the biggest title of his career in Bercy at the end of last season, beating five top-10 players en route. He is the clear favorite to walk away with the ultimate prize at the Montpellier Open.

How to Buy 2023 ATP Montpellier Open Tickets?

Please note that you can purchase tickets for the ATP Montpellier Open on the tournament’s official website under the ticket tab. For non-French speakers, you can set the page on your browser to your language of preference.

Tickets cost €7 for the first three days of the tournament for Adults. But beginning from the second round there will be a substantial increment until the final where it will cost a minimum of €33 and a maximum of €77 to watch the championship match on Sunday.
